Gwreck Old-Timey Member Posted April 7, 2008 Posted April 7, 2008 I will be at Shea as well. Having opening day on a Tuesday for the first time in a while fortunately puts us in our regular seats.
Sandgnat Old-Timey Member Posted April 7, 2008 Author Posted April 7, 2008 By the way, does anyone know of any decent places for dinner after the game that are nearby? My flight out doesn't leave until 9pm and a friend of mine is going to meet me for dinner, but I don't want to have to take the 7 into Manhattan. Any good Korean bbq or italian that is close by so I can have dinner then head over to LGA for the flight home? I have been to Shea 7 million times, but never went anywhere else but to the game and back (except for Bobby V's once).
Gwreck Old-Timey Member Posted April 7, 2008 Posted April 7, 2008 Korean BBQ? Yes, absolutely. In Flushing. Take the 7 train to Main Street, there are several places within walking distance. Our favorite is Kum Gang San, Northern Boulevard at Union Street.http://www.kumgangsan.net/

Sandgnat Old-Timey Member Posted April 7, 2008 Author Posted April 7, 2008 Hey KC! Long time man. Hope to see you. We are in LR 28, row A, seats 15 and 16 in case we don't catch up outside.

I saw that place on citysearch but was hesitant because the reviews were all from back in 2002. Now that you have mentioned it, I think that is where we will go.

I got a little nervous when I walked up and went into their little store next to the actual restaurant. I didn't see the actual restaurant and thought you sent me to some dive or something as a joke. I walked back out, lit a smoke and paced a few steps before seeing the sign for the restaurant. That was a relief since I was meeting someone there and would have been emabarrassed if it was just the place next door!
