Proof in pudding.I know Robbie Alomar's collapse was a surprise but how anyone thought an outfield comprising 3 from Roger Cedeno, Timo Perez, Jeromy Burnitz and Jay Satan could lead to a "great lineup" is beyond me. We also had Rey Ordonez at short NOT Alex Rodriguez.
Guest AG/DC Guests Posted April 7, 2008 Posted April 7, 2008 I wasn't on board either, but a lot of media and fans were.Burnitz was pulling down 13 big ones. Both he and Cedeo were coming off of modestly good seasons and people got themselves oversold. What can I tell you?My point is that maybe a similar ill-advised consensus has been built up on the Tiggs, and years from now, spell broken, peeps will all say, "Of course, Sheffield was going to collapse! Another year of Ivan Rodriguez? What were they thinking!"
