Won't be often the MFYs will be held to 8 runs in a 3-game series. It's a shame then they won 2 of 3.

Pirates and Braves tied 3-3 in the 9th.

Going back and forth between both those games, very hard to listen to Paul O'Neill , didn't Jon "Boog" Sciambi the Braves color guy get mentioned as a possible SNY guy or maybe on the Fan the past few seasons , anyway he's brutal.

Gotay got in the game for the Braves.

Oh, did you see the absolutely brilliant Willie Mays type catch the Pirates center fielder made to save two runs?....

Bobby Cox made a pitchers switch bringing in Royce Ring, but wait instead of the other pitcher Resop going of Cox sends him to LF and takes Diaz out, extra inning game and last night they used 6 pitchers....

And now he's put Royce Ring in LF and brought Resop back to the mound to pitch to Nady. Crazy.

So using Royce Ring worked -- he whiffed LaRoche with 1st and 3rd and 1 out, now Resop comes back in from left field to pitch to Nady.

You know, I have been wondering if there was some kind of loophole that allows for pitchers to come back after leaving the mound.

No reason why not. Cox knows the Book of Johnson.

The 1986 Mets had a great example of this, July 22nd against the Reds One crazy night in Cincy that had Orosco and McDowell go from the mound and the outfield a few times due to depleted bench and bullpen.
