No, it's bad when posters use other posters real names in posts.

Edit it.

SteveJRogers may or may not be Derek Jeter's secret boyfriend.

This is fun! And easy!

Now you hold on right there. Baby eating and Mexican hating are ugly, ugly, ugly.

But Jeter love? That's....despicable! Are there no slander laws in this country? Kneecap his puppy while you're at it!

="OlerudOwned"]Yeah, remember that time Milledge threatened to kill his girlfriend? That was nuts!

Yeah I know murder threats and statutory rapes are quite different and it was one incident as opposed to a full rap sheet, but Milledge did rape an underage girl and one would suspect that the author of the letter would hold that against rooting for Milledge, even with it being the only known actual crime on his record.

Steve, you're out of your depth here.

This isn't journalism. I don't know where you're studying, but it's not.

ryan church:

]An article in Sunday's paper about Baseball Chapel quoted Church as saying that he had turned to [chaplain Jon Moeller, an FBI agent who volunteers for Baseball Chapel, the Pennsylvania-based evangelical Christian group that provides unpaid ministers for many major and minor league teams] for advice about his former girlfriend, who was Jewish. "I said, like, Jewish people, they don't believe in Jesus. Does that mean they're doomed? Jon nodded, like, that's what it meant. My ex-girlfriend! I was like, man, if they only knew. Other religions don't know any better. It's up to us to spread the word," Church said.

you see hate there? i see concern for the soul of someone who he was just told wouldn't get to heaven because of her beliefs. this concern would have been expressed had the person in question been muslim, buddhist, confucian, atheist, etc. and is rooted in teh belief that knowing and accepting jesus, etc. is the only way into heaven. now, the jewish part of the equation is currently considered incorrect, but had he asked if taoists were doomed and ineligible for heaven, would there have been the outrage? should there have been? would a taoist even care? a taoist should say, so? i don't believe in your heaven anyways. and a jew could make the argument that my christian ass isn't going to heaven either, because i've gone and split up a monotheistic god into three pieces! does that mean jews hate me? i hope not.

but lets look back into the words of the immortal and prehaps heaven-ineligible john rocker.

]"So many dumb asses don't know how to drive in this town," he says, Billy Joel's New York State of Mind humming softly from the radio. "They turn from the wrong lane. They go 20 miles per hour. It makes me want -- Look! Look at this idiot! I guarantee you she's a Japanese woman." A beige Toyota is jerking from lane to lane. The woman at the wheel is white. "How bad are Asian women at driving?"

...

On ever playing for a New York team: "I would retire first. It's the most hectic, nerve-racking city. Imagine having to take the [Number] 7 train to the ballpark, looking like you're [riding through] Beirut next to some kid with purple hair next to some queer with AIDS right next to some dude who just got out of jail for the fourth time right next to some 20-year-old mom with four kids. It's depressing."

On New York City itself: "The biggest thing I don't like about New York are the foreigners. I'm not a very big fan of foreigners. You can walk an entire block in Times Square and not hear anybody speaking English. Asians and Koreans and Vietnamese and Indians and Russians and Spanish people and everything up there. How the hell did they get in this country?"

...

In passing, he calls an overweight black teammate "a fat monkey." Asked if he feels any bond with New York Knicks guard Latrell Sprewell, notorious for choking coach P.J. Carlesimo two years ago, Rocker lets out a snarl of disgust. "That guy should've been arrested, and instead he's playing basketball," he says. "Why do you think that is? Do you think if he was Keith Van Horn -- if he was white -- they'd let him back? No way." Rocker is rarely tongue-tied when it comes to bashing those of a race or sexual orientation different from his. "I'm not a racist or prejudiced person," he says with apparent conviction. "But certain people bother me."

y'know what, steve... you're right. its like they're the same person, isn't it? oy.
