Benjamin Grimm Old-Timey Member Posted October 2, 2007 Posted October 2, 2007 Who are you rooting for?
Methead Old-Timey Member Posted October 2, 2007 Posted October 2, 2007 Sawx.I want my grandfather to witness another Red Sox World Series win after waiting his whole life to get just one.
nymr83 Old-Timey Member Posted October 2, 2007 Posted October 2, 2007 i picked LAA, i'm getting tired of the red sox, and most of them are likely fuckin patriots fans too.
Guest sharpie Guests Posted October 2, 2007 Posted October 2, 2007 Sox. Just because. Also, hate the way the Angels added the Los Angeles of to their name.
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted October 2, 2007 Posted October 2, 2007 I'm pretty much neutral on this one -- but will root FOR either winner if they face the Yanx but AGAINST either if Cleveland is the opponent.
Guest Kid Carsey Guests Posted October 2, 2007 Posted October 2, 2007 Took the Sawx, but ny's Patriot comment has me thinking.
Guest Iubitul Guests Posted October 2, 2007 Posted October 2, 2007 This is a wash for me - I want whoever will give the Yankees the toughest fight.
seawolf17 Old-Timey Member Posted October 2, 2007 Posted October 2, 2007 Angels. I'd rather stab myself in the eye than sit through more Yanks-Sox bullshit.
Valadius Old-Timey Member Posted October 2, 2007 Posted October 2, 2007 Sox, but I really don't have much of a preference. I just don't want them to go much farther, lest Red Sox fans actually start to get spoiled.
G-Fafif Old-Timey Member Posted October 3, 2007 Posted October 3, 2007 Though I'm wary of going to the well once too often, the Angels loom as anti-MFY insurance. Besides, I keep calling them my favorite A.L. team yet I cast them aside in 2004 (Red Sox) and 2005 (White Sox) for better postseason stories. I also agree that MFY-Red Sox will be far too overbearing to handle.Nothing against the Sawx, but I'm a fan of Guerrero and Anderson. An enthusiastic yes vote for LAA.
Gwreck Old-Timey Member Posted October 3, 2007 Posted October 3, 2007 Surprised there aren't more votes for the Angels.Red Sox = second most insufferable team/fanbase in baseball.
Elster88 Old-Timey Member Posted October 3, 2007 Posted October 3, 2007 Only voting for the Sawx because I have tickets to ALCS Game 7 at Fenway.
Guest vtmet Guests Posted October 4, 2007 Posted October 4, 2007 don't really care about this series, both teams have been in the playoffs enough that they don't get the "they haven't been here before, so it would be nice to do good" award...I'll go with the Sox simply for 3 reasons: 1) A team that can't even decide where the hell they are from eventhough they have never moved, doesn't deserve a vote; 2) I'm sick of those stupid red thumping things and rally monkeys; 3) I'm stuck watching 162 red sox games per year, so I guess I aughta root for the bums since they have a better chance of beating the Yanks later on...
