Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted September 4, 2007 Posted September 4, 2007 * Shorthand for Day Game After Night GameAnd specifically a 12:30 day game following a particularly loooooonnnng night game, against a bad team, facing a journeyman pitcher, on a travel day, with a day off to follow, yyybbb.Plus;- Delgado looks like he tweaked his hip on a late swing- Castillo already has a bum knee- Reyes is slumping and hasn't had a day off since about 5 Lindsay Lohan rehabs ago- Wright too (the off day thing, not the slumping)- LoDuca isn't going to start a day game anyway, plus he tweaked a thumb tonight- and we're always screaming for Milledge to get in more often- Alou is old- which pretty much leaves BeltranIn other words, Willie doesn't get an argument from me if he puts an entire Subs lineup out there tomorrow. If you want those guys to come through when they're called on you gotta get em some ABs every now and then.So say it with me: Wednesday is Scrubs Day !!!!Embrace your inner bench player.
stevejrogers Old-Timey Member Posted September 4, 2007 Posted September 4, 2007 Man how could I forget one of the great PHers of all time, Lenny HarrisHmmmm, too bad I'm just doing division winning Mets in the countdown, that is a nice pic of Lenny.
Guest Rockin' Doc Guests Posted September 4, 2007 Posted September 4, 2007 Tomorrow is the perfect time to give the regulars a much needed and well deserved rest. C - DiFelice1B - Green2B - Anderson3B - ConineSS - GotayLF - Chavez CF - BeltranRF - Milledge That's a pretty brutal infield defense, but the outfiled should be quite solid. Not a good day for the sinker or change up away. Maine had best use the high fastball to get strike outs and to induce fly balls to the outfield.
nymr83 Old-Timey Member Posted September 4, 2007 Posted September 4, 2007 yeah, induce flyballs in a bandbox, great idea.

Elster88 Old-Timey Member Posted September 5, 2007 Posted September 5, 2007 This forum is going nuts lately. Wasn't the sky falling five days ago? Now with a 5 game lead we're starting the bench.
Guest Edgy DC Guests Posted September 5, 2007 Posted September 5, 2007 It's a perfectly defensible position. Subs happen.Though I dont think Willlie's going to go whole hog.
