And love is the light in your face

Turn to the sky!

I know now, I know now

Love won't pass you by

Zambrano lifted after a trainer and manager visit. I guess he is approaching
100 pitches if I heard the tv guys right, but it seems kinda sudden.

CASTROBOOOOM

I've never heard of this reliever - Carlos Marmol - but he's got some good numbers after putting up some pretty lousy ones in his 1st year last season.

mi: >>>Willie must make it clear that from now on Castro is the number one catcher<<<

Ridin' a hot hand is the easy part, declaring your intentions is a sure fire way
for a leader to get burned in the boo boo.

That's one thing I've always found amusing about some Mets fans needing for
things to be spelled out to them or to the media or to the team. I'd be a check-
the-lineup-card-when-you-get-off-the-bus-and-if-you-don't-like-not-being-on-
it-hit-the-cage-and-try-and-get-my-attention kinda manager.

Screw making anything clear.

Word to the man whose hand is shaking Mr. Met's.

Play Castro more, sure. Hasn't he been doing that?

Telling Paulie to go get wet, not so much.

he's a pretty well-regarded prospect, they expect him to become the closer

Marmol was a starter last year. I saw him get shelled by the Tigers at Wrigley. Guess he's better off in the 'pen.

I was just about to add that, although having Marlon on the team has been nice and all, I'd really rather see Alou up in those spots.
But he comes through w/men on in his 3rd try today.

David Newhan: Rally Starter

FYI: Carlos D. is one walk away from the Mets one-game record. The Media Guide has Vince Coleman with the record of 5 but it was a 16 inning game ('92).

Yes..Newhan...the other white meat and Marlon get it done..Sorry Castro..LoDuca's probably saying I could have gotten a hit..

Yup, Coleman is the only Met to walk five times in a game. (08/10/92)

Four opponents have done it:

09/16/72 Elrod Hendricks Cubs
09/07/73 Tim Foli Expos
04/22/83 Dale Murphy Braves
04/08/03 Ivan Rodriguez Marlins
