At least he didn't find his way home that inning.

Ruben is 3-3, brothers.

C'mon, we're inning five. We should be on page five.

Twelve Metly hits.

One of the stats that the talk-radio crowd has been complaining about lately is that the
Mets haven't won a game in X numbers of weeks when we've given up more than 3 runs.

Not sure they're going to like this route any better.

I think it's when the starter gives up more than 3 runs. I found it interesting. I think the last one was the comeback against the Cubbies.

It's getting harder to keep Smashtro on the bench.

Is that orange scrolling ticker tape graphic that SNY has been using tonight new??? I'm finding it to be very distracting.

Hopefully this game will help to launch the offense.

Sele did a great job tonight. Three good innings of relief. Now it's in Heilman's hands.

And that's what worries me...

This has been a pretty sloppily played game. Both teams seem determined to make sure the other has every opportunity to pull out a victory.

Roberto on the job. Amazin'.

Yes, Willie hates black people too.

He's from the controllable Afro-Latin subset.

I'm surprised that none of you watching on tv noticed the apoplectic fits I was having in the stands because of Glavine. It's nice to read this thread and see that finally some of you are acknowledging that Glavine isn't the Holy of Holies.

Posted

Nobody ever said that he was the Holy of Holies. (Whatever that means.)

We just don't agree with you that he's the Fount of all Evil.

Your inability to see shades of grey in this matter reminds me of that guy who sees Willie Randolph as sinister and brain damaged.

You gotta be intelligent to qualify as truly sinister

="Frayed Knot"]And yes, we have the obligatory Alyssa Milano sighting.

I can't say for sure but I think she was looking over both benches saying;
had him ... still need him ... had him ... had him ... still need ...

Alyssa Milano Loves L.A. Dodgers - How About All-Star Russell Martin?

by Gia Cortina

If you know anything about Alyssa Milano, you know she loves baseball...and the L.A. Dodgers in particular. After a meeting with Russell Martin the all-star catcher, some are wondering if he's a new love interest.

Apparently, Alyssa, 34, was seen flirting with Russell, 24, at the all-star game on July 11th. She was overheard, reports
Us Magazine
, telling a friend that she thought the catcher was cute.

However, after the meeting, the
Charmed
actress wrote on her blog...

"Okay, yeah, so I finally met Russell Martin. No big deal. And yeah, I was cool. Yup. And I didn't have sweaty palms. Nope. I didn't get star struck. Nope. I wasn't even weak in the knees. Nope. My upper lip did NOT start sweating nor did I get blotchy and break out in hives. Phew. Thank God not one of those embarrassing this happened. I was cool as a cucumber. No big deal."

I hope the Dodgers hurry up and trade Martin to the Marlins. It seems to be how we get all of our catchers, and I'd like to get a decent portion of his prime to come as a Met.
