Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted July 19, 2007 Posted July 19, 2007 I think Marlon already has more hits than Newhan.
Guest Edgy DC Guests Posted July 19, 2007 Posted July 19, 2007 Welcome back, Marlon. Where the Hell you been?
Guest Johnny Dickshot Guests Posted July 19, 2007 Posted July 19, 2007 It's astonishing how poor a decision Newhan turned out to be.Come on Mets, Glavine isn't good enough to protect a 4-run lead. Get Marlon home.

Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted July 19, 2007 Posted July 19, 2007 GODDAMMIT, how many lives do you need?!?!
Guest Johnny Dickshot Guests Posted July 19, 2007 Posted July 19, 2007 Willie, Please get this decrepit old slowballer off the mound.Sincerely,All That Is Holy
Guest Rockin' Doc Guests Posted July 19, 2007 Posted July 19, 2007 Glavine isn't exactly fooling anyone tonight. It looks like this one is going to be a real slugfest.

I wouldn't have guessed Newhan was a good idea either but I thought they must have known something.Glavine is making me PUKE.
Guest Rockin' Doc Guests Posted July 19, 2007 Posted July 19, 2007 This apparently what Glavine's piutchers look like to the Dodger hitters tonight.
Guest Johnny Dickshot Guests Posted July 19, 2007 Posted July 19, 2007 Get the fuck out of my sight Glavine. BBBbOooOOOoooooOOoooooooOooOOOOoOOOOOoooOOOO0o0oooooooOOOOO
Guest Edgy DC Guests Posted July 19, 2007 Posted July 19, 2007 6-0 and 9-4.These were gifts to you, Tom.
Guest Rockin' Doc Guests Posted July 19, 2007 Posted July 19, 2007 A nice easy come backer to Sele would be nice here.
Guest metsguyinmichigan Guests Posted July 19, 2007 Posted July 19, 2007 So I check the score the first time and it's 6-2 and I say "Yea!"Then it's 6-4 and I grumble back to my chores. Then I check again and we have 9. Yea!Then I see bleeping Aaron Sele on the mound and I'm afraid to go back to the chores.
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted July 19, 2007 Posted July 19, 2007 Dodger baserunning is saving us tonight.
Guest Rockin' Doc Guests Posted July 19, 2007 Posted July 19, 2007 Thanks for that, because our pitchers apparently need all the help they can get.The Mets were fortunate to get out of theat mess no worse than that.
Guest Edgy DC Guests Posted July 19, 2007 Posted July 19, 2007 Yeah, that seemed like a hugely un-necessary sacrifice by Garciaparra.I congratulate Sele, but I don't like Randolph going straight to the long-man there. It may be early, but it's a high-leverage spot. Go to the short man to get you out of the inning, then turn it over to Sele. But good job, Sele.
Guest Johnny Dickshot Guests Posted July 19, 2007 Posted July 19, 2007 I hereby dub thee The Aaron Sele Game.

He didn't cost us anything like the Johnson and Burgos trades did.

Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted July 19, 2007 Posted July 19, 2007 D. J. Houlton pitching for LAWhat is it with ballplayers using only initials these days?- J. J. Putz pitched in the All-Star game to J. J. Hardy. The result was, of course, a BB- And up in Toronto, GM J. P. Riccardi is having a tough year as both B. J. Ryanand A. J. Burnett are on the DL
Guest Johnny Dickshot Guests Posted July 19, 2007 Posted July 19, 2007 I like letting scrubeenies scatter after 1 year, especailly when you catch lightning in a bottle. Anderson was a pretty good benchie tho IIRC his magic waned as the season progressed and letting him walk was considered pretty OK around these parts.
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted July 19, 2007 Posted July 19, 2007 WE GOT THE LEADOFF BATTER OUT !!!!

Thanks DocTee and thanks Dickshot for answering.
bmfc1 Old-Timey Member Posted July 19, 2007 Posted July 19, 2007 The Mets offered Anderson one year and the Nationals offered him two.
