stevejrogers Old-Timey Member Posted July 17, 2007 Posted July 17, 2007 51-41 Thats the record as of 7/16/2007. Playing at a .554 clip which averages out to about 90 wins which would mean going 39 and 31 the rest of the way.Right now the Braves are 50 and 43, 1 and a half games in back with a .538 pace, and they've played one more game than us so far this season. The current Brave emlination number...well it has an extremly happy historical connotation for Met fans and I'll leave it at that. Interestingly enough for as much of a malaise the Met offense has been in all year, they are just 5 games off of last season's pace as they were 55-37.
Benjamin Grimm Old-Timey Member Posted July 17, 2007 Posted July 17, 2007 You don't have to be a Mets fan to like the number 69.

Benjamin Grimm Old-Timey Member Posted July 17, 2007 Posted July 17, 2007 There's no such thing as fate. The Mets magic number is 69.
Centerfield Old-Timey Member Posted July 17, 2007 Posted July 17, 2007 Stating the magic number won't lead to losing the division.Delgado and Beltran continuing to suck will lead to losing the division.
Guest Kid Carsey Guests Posted July 17, 2007 Posted July 17, 2007 Rogers is licking his chops for the Yanks to keep winning and the Mets fall out of first this week (as is ira, welcome back) I just know it. If there was a week for the blue and orange to fall out of first, this is theweek, so keep your chins up guys.
