Centerfield Old-Timey Member Posted July 12, 2007 Posted July 12, 2007 I don't remember being this impatient for a baseball game. I'd like to see Milledge and Gotay in the starting lineups.

Guest sharpie Guests Posted July 12, 2007 Posted July 12, 2007 Sorry, didn't see this one had started. If someone wants to delete the other, I'd be grateful.(on edit): Already done, wow.
Guest Kid Carsey Guests Posted July 12, 2007 Posted July 12, 2007 I like that lineup mixture. In my mind, I've pretty much written off Alou at this point and I'mpulling big time for Lastings to make the most of this next opportunity.
nymr83 Old-Timey Member Posted July 12, 2007 Posted July 12, 2007 I still think Alou may contribute in September (and hopefully October) but I hope for a situation where Milledge or an outside player is producing so well that Alou and Green are fighting each other for ABs.

Benjamin Grimm Old-Timey Member Posted July 12, 2007 Posted July 12, 2007 Not gonna happen!Reyes and Gotay lead off the first with back-to-back homers.Mets 2, Reds 0 after 1.
metirish Old-Timey Member Posted July 12, 2007 Posted July 12, 2007 El Duque walked the pitcher to load the bases and Hatteberg made him pay, game tied at two.Green looks very awkward trying to make a play on two balls tonight. Is Keith auditioning for the hitting coach job?
metirish Old-Timey Member Posted July 12, 2007 Posted July 12, 2007 Dugue gets a hit then steals second....Reyes and Gotay make Mets history tonight ,their back to back first inning home runs to start the game were a first in Mets history.
Guest Kid Carsey Guests Posted July 12, 2007 Posted July 12, 2007 Bizzaro-world ... OHern steals a base, advances to third on a wild pitch thatalmost hit Reyes on a ball four ... Reyes picked off loafing at first.Let's get on the balls of our feet, gentlemen.
nymr83 Old-Timey Member Posted July 12, 2007 Posted July 12, 2007 Gotay drives in Milledge, who scored all the way from 1st on a single (he was running on the pitch)
Guest Kid Carsey Guests Posted July 12, 2007 Posted July 12, 2007 Bad play in center, nice slide by Lastings on that play.
Guest Johnny Dickshot Guests Posted July 12, 2007 Posted July 12, 2007 They've shown the replay 6 times and I still haven't seen Milledge touch home plate.
Guest Kid Carsey Guests Posted July 12, 2007 Posted July 12, 2007 Home plate blue owes us anyways, but I think he got a finger or two on it.
seawolf17 Old-Timey Member Posted July 12, 2007 Posted July 12, 2007 This Reyes kid can fly. I guess that's why they call him the Dominican Ichiro Suzuki.
Guest Kid Carsey Guests Posted July 12, 2007 Posted July 12, 2007 Feliciano 1-2-3's the top o' the 8th with under ten pitches. Still 3-2, good guys.
Guest Kid Carsey Guests Posted July 12, 2007 Posted July 12, 2007 Stanton Stanton, he's our manIf he can't fuck up, no one can
Guest Johnny Dickshot Guests Posted July 12, 2007 Posted July 12, 2007 Those black brims on the Reds caps suck. I like the look of the unis otherwise. Don't mind the font at all.
Guest Johnny Dickshot Guests Posted July 12, 2007 Posted July 12, 2007 DegadoDuca fuck up with 2nd & 3rd, they walk Green to set up Thrilledge.Let's watch.
Guest Kid Carsey Guests Posted July 12, 2007 Posted July 12, 2007 Lastings up with the bases loaded, still 3-2 in the bottom of 8th.Oh, the drama ....
Guest Rockin' Doc Guests Posted July 12, 2007 Posted July 12, 2007 All in all today was a good start to the second half of the season.
nymr83 Old-Timey Member Posted July 12, 2007 Posted July 12, 2007 thanks metirishnice to start the 2nd half with a W, though again the offense scored a couple and then sat back on their asses hoping it would be enough, maybe thats just my perception ofthings but they seem to do that alot.
Centerfield Old-Timey Member Posted July 13, 2007 Author Posted July 13, 2007 For the record, I don't think I'm being given enough credit here. I call for Milledge and Gotay to be in the lineup and look what happens. One of them drives in 2 runs, including a HR...and the other hustles around the bases with the winning run. I should be swimming in praise right now. Hell, I should be given a non-descript coaching role.
Benjamin Grimm Old-Timey Member Posted July 13, 2007 Posted July 13, 2007 Too bad they already hired an Offensive Invigorator.
