Carlos Gomez goes on the DL with a broken 'Hammate' (sp?) bone in his hand. That, IIRC, is one of those pebble-sized bones that your hand has a bunch of, he apparently did it during a swing in his last AB Wed night.

Surgery will happen tonight and he's out for 6-8 weeks.

David Newhan has been recalled and is expected by game time.
