Of all the dramatic things I've seen...
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted June 9, 2007 Posted June 9, 2007 Roger gives up 1 in the top of the 1st: 2 singles, WP, 2 Ksbut the Yanx come back w/3 in the bottom.Jack Wilson is a really good SS ... until today; and Jason Bay may be a good hitter but has a lousy throwing arm. Pirate pitcher Maholm deserved a bit better than what he got.
Guest Edgy DC Guests Posted June 9, 2007 Posted June 9, 2007 Bucs and Yanks tied at three. Clemens' million dollar day interrupted by a two-run fourth when gimpy Xavier Nady and slow-enough-to-be-a-Molina Ronny Paulino were doubled home by a struggling Jack Wilson sending one out Abreu Way.
Guest Edgy DC Guests Posted June 9, 2007 Posted June 9, 2007 Leading off the fifth, Maholm walks Jeter, allows a single to Abreu, and walks Rodriguez. No out and they're jammed.
Guest Edgy DC Guests Posted June 9, 2007 Posted June 9, 2007 Posada fly plates Jeter, and the Yanks --- inspired, no doubt, by Clemens --- take the lead.
Guest Johnny Dickshot Guests Posted June 9, 2007 Posted June 9, 2007 Not bad considering sacks drunk, 0 out. No way do the MFYs hold a 1-run lead for 4 innings.
