Guest Edgy DC Guests Posted April 19, 2007 Posted April 19, 2007 "Hi old pals, I'm Todd Pratt. I'm here to talk about current Met Billy Wagner. Besides being Mets, he and I have something else in common. Isn't that right, Billy?""That's right Todd. We should start a club.""Great idea, Billy. Who else could join?""How about my good friend... Darryl Hamilton?!""Wow! Sure!""Thanks fellas. But what do we three have in common --- besides our Metly glory --- that would make us a club?
Guest Edgy DC Guests Posted April 19, 2007 Posted April 19, 2007 "Oh, something more interesting than that, right Billy?""That's sure is true, Todd. Of course, fungus on my foot is more interesting, heh heh.""Heh, heh.""I know! Let's invite Willard Hunter to join!""Gosh, guys! I'm honored you thought of me! But it's true. I have the same thing in common with you guys that you have with each other."
Willets Point Old-Timey Member Posted April 20, 2007 Posted April 20, 2007 I think you've been Rogered, old boy.
Centerfield Old-Timey Member Posted April 20, 2007 Posted April 20, 2007 Other than having never been in my kitchen I've got nothing.
Guest Edgy DC Guests Posted April 20, 2007 Posted April 20, 2007 "You don't know this, Centerfield, but Darryl Hamilton has been in your kitchen.""Maybe our club should have an Ohio Chapter. David Wright could start it.""Consider it done. I've already invited my boy Jeff Kent to join.""@ # $ % !!"
Guest Yancy Street Gang Guests Posted April 20, 2007 Posted April 20, 2007 Of all the members of the club, Todd Pratt looks happiest to be in it.
Centerfield Old-Timey Member Posted April 20, 2007 Posted April 20, 2007 "In Indiana, it's well known that Centerfield is dumb."
Willets Point Old-Timey Member Posted April 20, 2007 Posted April 20, 2007 If it's what I'm thinking I'm not sure how David Wright qualifies. Or what Ohio has to do with it. I would think Pennsylvania or Connecticut would be more likely to have chapters.
Willets Point Old-Timey Member Posted April 20, 2007 Posted April 20, 2007 Then he would be Davidd Wright.
Guest Edgy DC Guests Posted April 20, 2007 Posted April 20, 2007 Centerfield smells something.Hank Webb and Tom Parsons are also members of the New York Chapter.
Guest Johnny Dickshot Guests Posted April 20, 2007 Posted April 20, 2007 We're all named after colleges!
Centerfield Old-Timey Member Posted April 20, 2007 Posted April 20, 2007 Do you have to be a Met?Whatever, we can start our own club. You want in Cal?Technically, I don't qualify...On Edit: Damn.
Willets Point Old-Timey Member Posted April 20, 2007 Posted April 20, 2007 So the whole double letters in the first name was just a wild coincidence.
Guest Edgy DC Guests Posted April 20, 2007 Posted April 20, 2007 Good show. I was sticking to New York Colleges, but went to the Ohio Chapter rather than introduce obscurer spots like Neil Allen School of Brooklyn and Grant Roberts Wesleyan College. I should have given you Webb and Parsons though. No non-Mets allowed.
Willets Point Old-Timey Member Posted April 20, 2007 Posted April 20, 2007 I'm in multiple chapters across the country.
Guest Edgy DC Guests Posted April 20, 2007 Posted April 20, 2007 Twenty-deuce is a very collegiate number.
stevejrogers Old-Timey Member Posted April 20, 2007 Posted April 20, 2007 Hey do I count? I cover the Mets at MLB.com
stevejrogers Old-Timey Member Posted April 20, 2007 Posted April 20, 2007 I may be small, but I still represent in Virginia!
