This is terribly premature.

I started a more appropriate countdown in the Standings thread.

Postseason wins are the priority. It'd be nice if we had home field for the NLCS, but I'm not going to go crazy if the Cards surge ahead, just as long as we have home field in the NLDS.

Best record in the bigs is as meaningfull as best record in the NFL unless there is a historic possiblity for a final record

How about "One Matchup at a Time"?

As far as I'm concerned, the Magic Number is 3.

Then, hopefully, it will be 4. And then another 4.

And then 163.

Technically, the magic number in a five-game playoff matchup is five.

In a seven-gamer, seven.

Anybody know how to get tuna fish salad from between the keys of a keyboard?

Later.

Yeah, there's really no need for a magic number in the post-season. It's readily apparent what needs to be done for a team to win a series.

But that doesn't mean this thread is useless. We can always fill it up with Billy Joel lyrics!

Ooooooooooooohhhhhh
What's the matter with the car I'm drivin'?
