Willets Point Old-Timey Member Posted September 16, 2006 Posted September 16, 2006 NO! Not Joe Randa, Professional Hitter!!!!

Willets Point Old-Timey Member Posted September 16, 2006 Posted September 16, 2006 Joe Randa, professional walker.
Guest Edgy DC Guests Posted September 16, 2006 Posted September 16, 2006 Bad day for the Fighting Irish.
Valadius Old-Timey Member Posted September 16, 2006 Author Posted September 16, 2006 What the fuck just happened?!?!?!?!?
Willets Point Old-Timey Member Posted September 16, 2006 Posted September 16, 2006 Sucky things tend to happen to the Mes at the confluence of the Allegheny and the Monongahela.
Guest ScarletKnight41 Guests Posted September 16, 2006 Posted September 16, 2006 No champagne tonight - Randa's RBI ends the game To Elster - no, an infant can't appreciate the game. But his/her parents can. And finding a babysitter for an infant for the length of time it takes to get to and from a game and watch it can be prohibitive.
Guest KC Guests Posted September 16, 2006 Posted September 16, 2006 Oh well, the saga continues ......
Guest Edgy DC Guests Posted September 16, 2006 Posted September 16, 2006 Randa gets the run, not the RBI.See you tomorrow, Kelly Stinnett.Hey, Mets, hit.

Guest KC Guests Posted September 16, 2006 Posted September 16, 2006 LET'Ser, just kidding. Hey, where's that worries thread?
Guest Rockin' Doc Guests Posted September 16, 2006 Posted September 16, 2006 Well, that wasn't quite what I had in mind when I said the Mets would put an end to the game in the ninth inning.
seawolf17 Old-Timey Member Posted September 16, 2006 Posted September 16, 2006 Fucking ass shit hell. You know, this time drives me crazy sometimes.
Methead Old-Timey Member Posted September 16, 2006 Posted September 16, 2006 The hell with it. As much as I want to see this thing clinched on the field, I might just root for the Astros tomorrow.Although they start half an hour later than the Mets do... should be a fun day.
Guest ScarletKnight41 Guests Posted September 16, 2006 Posted September 16, 2006 A couple of us will be at the Jets home opener tomorrow, so we're going to miss the action
seawolf17 Old-Timey Member Posted September 16, 2006 Posted September 16, 2006 Don't worry, Scarlet, you won't miss anything, because apparently this team has chosen now, of all times, to suck.
Guest ScarletKnight41 Guests Posted September 16, 2006 Posted September 16, 2006 Better now than in two weeks. Let them get this shit out of their systems.
Gwreck Old-Timey Member Posted September 16, 2006 Posted September 16, 2006 CRAP!Quick 'n dirty highlights from Pittsburgh:PNC park is EVERYTHING it's cracked up to be, and more. Amazing park. Great views, great food options (Outback Steakhouse and Manny Sanguillen's Barbeque tonight, I'll have the Primanti Bros. tomorrow), friendly staff, tickets easily available and inexpensive (compared to Shea at least). Bobbleheads are given out to all fans, not just the 12-and-under set.Saw Omar M. walking across the Roberto Clemente bridge to the game, just like the rest of the fans. Said hi.Lots of Mets fans in the house, frequent and loud "Let's Go Mets" chants. Lots of Mets fans interacting with the players near the dugout during BP. They seemed to enjoy it.After Valentin's bunt and they brought in the righty, why did we stick with Franco and not go with a lefty pinch hitter??We'll get them tomorrow!
Guest Edgy DC Guests Posted September 16, 2006 Posted September 16, 2006 Franco is pretty capable generally against righties. Randolph hasn't sent him up and pulled him after flipping the pitcher yet. I wasn't surprised he didn't tonight.
Zach Thornton Syracuse Mets - AAA LHP On Sunday, the southpaw tossed five shutout innings as the bulk pitcher. He gave up 2 hits, walked 2 and had 5 strikeouts. Explore Zach Thornton News >
