metirish Old-Timey Member Posted September 17, 2006 Posted September 17, 2006 Ticket touts, over here you call them scalpers.
Guest cleonjones11 Guests Posted September 17, 2006 Posted September 17, 2006 I got the Sports Illustrated Box Field level 82 seats 1 and 2 by third base. Rick Reilly has seats 3 and 4 ...Everyone else in the office wanted Yankees and I hadn't asked in a while.Wright by third base..So you all can find me there for the first round cause thats where it ends.Sold the nosebleeds I won with the six pack.

Around section 22 or 23. Row J.Loge Reserved. Section 18.Not bad. What row? Are they "back row" seats? (When I was at Shea last week we moved down to Loge Reserved in the 8th inning. I think we were in row F or G and the overhang wasn't a problem. I think the view would probably be okay through row I or J.
Guest ScarletKnight41 Guests Posted September 18, 2006 Posted September 18, 2006 They're not back row, as far as I know. How far back does the Loge go at Shea?
Guest Yancy Street Gang Guests Posted September 18, 2006 Posted September 18, 2006 I'm guessing row N or O.But I think if you're row J or closer you should be okay. I used to know this stuff very well, but I've forgotten. What row are your tickets, Scarlett?
Guest ScarletKnight41 Guests Posted September 18, 2006 Posted September 18, 2006 JThe line between good and bad, I guess.
Guest Yancy Street Gang Guests Posted September 18, 2006 Posted September 18, 2006 Row J should be okay I think. You probably won't see all of the sky and you may lose track of fly balls and pop ups. But you should be able to see most of the scoreboard.I know that from the back row you can't see the scoreboard at all. From that perspective, the edge of the overhang pretty much meets the top of the outfield fence. The worst thing about Shea is the existence of those back row Loge and Mezzanine seats. I wouldn't hesitate to buy Row J seats for a postseason game.
Guest cooby Guests Posted September 18, 2006 Posted September 18, 2006 Scarlet! You will be there on the day "The Sweet Assed One" pitches!
Guest ScarletKnight41 Guests Posted September 18, 2006 Posted September 18, 2006 LOL - yes, although I don't think of him quite in that way. I think of him as that poor, shy boy who has so much trouble coming out of his shell

I definitely need a primer on nicknames. The only ones I relate to on the current team are Sandman and Captain Red Ass/Sleazy.
Willets Point Old-Timey Member Posted September 18, 2006 Posted September 18, 2006 I know Capt. Redass. I now know Thick-Legged One. Who is Sweetass? And why are all the Mets being defined by their dorsal/lower extremity regions?
Guest ScarletKnight41 Guests Posted September 18, 2006 Posted September 18, 2006 cooby likes Pedro's posterior. I'm an eye person myself.
Lundy Old-Timey Member Posted September 21, 2006 Posted September 21, 2006 I opened my email this morning to find I was selected in the "second chance drawing." I picked up four tickets, in section 24 of the mezzanine, for Game 1.This'll be my first playoff game I've ever gone to.
metirish Old-Timey Member Posted September 21, 2006 Posted September 21, 2006 From now on I'll be calling Julio Franco "the fossil"...just so you all know who I'm talking about...SC=100
Gwreck Old-Timey Member Posted September 21, 2006 Posted September 21, 2006 I see a few people picked up four seats for NLDS, Game 1.I wonder if anyone would be interested in trading two of those seats to two for NLDS game 2? PM, email, etc...
