soupcan Old-Timey Member Posted October 1, 2006 Author Posted October 1, 2006 I know a few little league games in my town you could go to if you're that desparate.Yankee Stadium? Sheesh.
Guest Yancy Street Gang Guests Posted October 3, 2006 Posted October 3, 2006 Barring rainouts, both AL series will end by Sunday, and both if-necessary Game 5's of the NLDS are scheduled for Monday. One is at 4 p.m. and the other at 8. I've got to figure that Mets-Dodgers would get prime-time ahead of Padres-Cardinals.If only one series goes five games, I'd assume that that game would be played at 8. Unless FOX is too wimpy to go head-to-head against Monday Night Football. There are no weekday day games scheduled for the NLCS or ALCS, so tomorrow's game might be the only one we'll have to sneak out of work to attend or watch on TV.
metirish Old-Timey Member Posted October 3, 2006 Posted October 3, 2006 Joe Morgan will get a police escort form Shea to the Bronx tomorrow so he can do both games.....big shot.

If the Yankees and Mets are both playing, that would put ALCS Game 2 and NLCS Game 1 in the same city on the same day. This could force one of the games into the daytime hours. That's on Wednesday, October 11.Game 6 - time scheduled for 4 PM. If the ALCS doesn't go to 7 games, then the game would move to 8 PM. That's Wednesday, October 18.
Guest OlerudOwned Guests Posted October 3, 2006 Posted October 3, 2006 In case any of you will be at work or something and don't have access to a television.http://www.shareup.com/TVUPlayer-download-47142.htmlTVUPlayer. It streams a bunch of live TV stuff, importantly including FOX and the ESPNs. The download is easy and the picture quality is fantastic.
Guest Yancy Street Gang Guests Posted October 4, 2006 Posted October 4, 2006 They still haven't announced the times for Saturday's NLDS and ALDS games.I'm hoping the Mets game is at 4 p.m. Eastern time.It wouldn't be 1, because that would be 10 a.m. local time.
Gwreck Old-Timey Member Posted October 4, 2006 Posted October 4, 2006 The time slots Saturday are 1:00 (ESPN2), 4:00 (FOX) and 7:30 (FOX).If four games need to be played Saturday, this is how I project the schedule shaking out:1:00 - Padres at Cardinals4:00 - Mets at Dodgers; Twins at Athletics (split national)7:30 - Yankees at Tigers.

Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted October 5, 2006 Posted October 5, 2006 Game 3 at 7:30 Sat night(just in case you missed the 14 pro-mos during tonight's game)
metirish Old-Timey Member Posted October 5, 2006 Posted October 5, 2006 My Mom and my Sister are coming to NY Saturday, I love it believe me, my sister that lives here has not seen our Mom in 11 years...but jeez the timing is terrible....hopefully the series will be over Saturday because we have a dinner set for 4PM Sunday.

Shilling pitched a gem.I was just happy to be at a series game.I was a fan of neither team, but I admit I rooted for the NL team there.Id go to any post season game that I could.Mets would make it so much sweeter, but a post season game is a post season game.

Guest cooby Guests Posted October 6, 2006 Posted October 6, 2006 And I thought that game was at 4. Evening might actually be better for me...

Guest sharpie Guests Posted October 6, 2006 Posted October 6, 2006 I have a dinner thing I'm going to tomorrow night. I was also hoping for 4. I can at least catch the end of the game. Also, next Saturday (game 3 of NLCS) is problematic for me. Damn social commitments.
Guest cooby Guests Posted October 6, 2006 Posted October 6, 2006 You know what's funny? In 1986 I had a three year old and one TV but managed to catch every inning of every game (taped it and paused for commercials even). This year, my youngest is 17 and makes no demands of me, we have two TVs, and I am having trouble catching much of the games. Weird.

Guest Yancy Street Gang Guests Posted October 6, 2006 Posted October 6, 2006 Much better solution: Tape it or TiVo it, keep your car radio off, and watch it on Sunday morning.
