soupcan Old-Timey Member Posted August 7, 2006 Posted August 7, 2006 If Piazza and Benson were still on the team along with LoDuca, you could have a nice start on a 'Naked Wifey Watch' thread.

Guest Yancy Street Gang Guests Posted August 7, 2006 Posted August 7, 2006 Maybe we should change the title of this thread to "Who's no longer eating Paul?"
Guest Edgy DC Guests Posted August 7, 2006 Posted August 7, 2006 I'll try. It's tough to center with part of her mane cut off.If you ever meet a Playboy model, say, "Oh, of course, I just didn't recognize you without a golden backlit aura. Come over here and let me just.. maneuver... the... desk lamp and... . Oh, sure, now I see it."
soupcan Old-Timey Member Posted August 7, 2006 Posted August 7, 2006 LoDuca and hot wife scheduled to come on WFAN tomorrow and make a joint statement. Why?

Vic Sage Old-Timey Member Posted August 7, 2006 Posted August 7, 2006 Does that mean that Kris Benson is no going to have sex will all the Mets players, to get back at her?
Vic Sage Old-Timey Member Posted August 7, 2006 Posted August 7, 2006 oh, and if there are naked pictures out there, please provide a link!
metirish Old-Timey Member Posted August 7, 2006 Posted August 7, 2006 Kris is on the DL with some sort of pulled muscle, I doubt he'd be up for it.
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted August 7, 2006 Posted August 7, 2006 LoDuca does a regular weekly call-in appearance on WFAN (I think it's on Tuesdays) on Joe Badabingo's show.It would be surprising if the spurned wife suddenly joined him on this week's gig.
soupcan Old-Timey Member Posted August 7, 2006 Posted August 7, 2006 That's what Badabing said - BOTH of them, tomorrow, joint statement.

Farmer Ted Old-Timey Member Posted August 7, 2006 Posted August 7, 2006 They wouldn't be on together unless 1. Thy deny everything, 2. They admit marital problems but are working through it, 3. Paul is in that video with his wife, or 4. Floyd Landis is the father of thier child.
Guest Edgy DC Guests Posted August 7, 2006 Posted August 7, 2006 The smart bet is:5. We both regret the disagreements that have brought about the end of our marriange, but agree that, for the sake of our children, we ask you to please do the utmost to respect our privacy.

Having grown up with Jerry Springer reruns, they both realize the potential (monetary) value of a good marital throwdown on live radio or TV.
Guest Yancy Street Gang Guests Posted August 8, 2006 Posted August 8, 2006 Yesterday Paul was on the cover of the Post with the news of his infidelity and divorce.Today he's on the cover of the News with allegations that he may have a gambling problem.Tomorrow? I predict he'll be on the cover of Newsday with a story saying that he electocutes kids and dogs in his swimming pool.
soupcan Old-Timey Member Posted August 8, 2006 Posted August 8, 2006 I can't get on The Posts's website today for some reason - Sonia was quoted as saying that they wanted her to come on the radio today but that Paul said no. Paul will be on with Badabenigno later though.Should be scintillating.

Guest Yancy Street Gang Guests Posted August 8, 2006 Posted August 8, 2006 About the gambling stuff? I have to admit, I barely skimmed the article. It was accompanied by a piece by Lupica, and I can't get through two paragraphs of Lupica anymore.
soupcan Old-Timey Member Posted August 8, 2006 Posted August 8, 2006 I was on a call so I was listening with one ear but it seems like LoDuca denied the gambling debts saying that he has a legal betting account and likes to go to the track. He does not owe anybody any money from gambling.I don't think he was asked about nor addressed the infidelity issues and said that his wife and he get along very well they speak frequently and unfortunately their relationship just didn't work out.Ho-hum.
Guest Edgy DC Guests Posted August 8, 2006 Posted August 8, 2006 "i'm not talking ot the media the rest of the year. Well, OK, I'll make an exception for Lupica."How does that guy retain so much juice after all these years?
Guest Yancy Street Gang Guests Posted August 8, 2006 Posted August 8, 2006 ]New York Daily News - http://www.nydailynews.com Mets star: You bet it's legal! Tuesday, August 8th, 2006 This story was reported by:SHERRY ROSS in Saratoga Springs, N.Y.NANCY DILLON in San Antonio, Tex.MICHELLE CARUSO in PhoenixKERRY BURKE, CHRIS ROVZAR and TINA MOOREIt was written by: TINA MOOREMets catcher Paul Lo Duca brushed off his estranged wife's allegations that he was a philanderer and spent a carefree day at the races yesterday despite emerging allegations of troublesome gambling issues."I talk to my wife every day," Lo Duca, 34, told the Daily News after being spotted at Saratoga Race Track. "We get along great."But in a divorce petition filed in Bexar County, Tex., in late June, 34-year-old Sonia Lo Duca paints a different picture. The former Playboy model accuses the Met of infidelity.Yet sources close to the Brooklyn-born four-time All-Star told The News that his divorce fight was only part of his woes. The sources said Lo Duca also had gambling debts, accumulating a big enough tab that Mets management was aware of it.The morals clause within Major League Baseball doesn't prohibit a player from gambling at casinos or race tracks, but the league becomes concerned when one of its players runs up unmanageable gambling debts.Lo Duca insisted to The News yesterday that he only gambled on horses, never on sports. He admitted betting through the Internet, but said all his wagers were legal. He would not address his wife's allegations, saying only, "We decided to get a divorce six months ago and I wish it didn't happen, but it happens."The two planned to appear together on WFAN-AM today to discuss their divorce. They were married just before Lo Duca's first full season in the majors, in which he hit .320 for the Dodgers. The following year, in 2001, she posed for Playboy's "Sexy Girl Next Door" spread.Standing outside her Spanish-style mansion in a gated community in San Antonio, Tex., Sonia Lo Duca said last night, "I just want my privacy. I want what's best for my daughter."Despite the media scrutiny, she seemed the picture of tranquility. She smiled as she held one of her dogs, a small teacup terrier, in one hand and a diaper in the other. "I'm feeling fine," she added. The petition filed by Lo Duca's wife specifically asks the court to prevent Lo Duca from incurring any indebtedness, making withdrawals from accounts or entering safe deposit boxes. The document also seeks to prevent him from "consuming alcohol" within 24 hours before seeing his 21-month-old daughter or having "intimate" overnight guests when the child is present.Anne Buonocore, Sonia Lo Duca's Texas-based lawyer, called the laundry list of prohibitions standard fare."They want to be able to maintain a positive relationship for their daughter's sake," she said. There is nothing in the divorce papers targeting Lo Duca's gambling although he has never kept secret his love for Thoroughbred racing. His dad, who once owned horses in Arizona, nurtured a love of horse racing in his son. The ballplayer has five horses in training four in California and one in New York.Paul Lo Duca Sr. vowed not to discuss his son's headline-grabbing split from his wife and only wanted to talk about his All-Star season. "People get divorced every day, every 10 seconds," Lo Duca Sr. said."I just advised him to get involved with the right people and to be careful and that's what he's done," he added. Lo Duca's agent, Andrew Mongelluzzi of Palm Harbor, Fla., didn't return calls seeking comment. But Lo Duca's longtime friend Jeff Wallner said the Met "absolutely did not cheat" on his wife."He's not a player," Wallner said. "He was a homebody."Wallner, who runs Lighthouse Financial Group and advises athletes on their finances, said he frequently tries to protect them from women "looking for high-profile athletes to go after their money."But Sonia Lo Duca's father, Jose Flores of Houston, said his daughter "is a generous individual who's always trying to help everybody" and wasn't interested in money. The 61-year-old dad said his Christian daughter never mentioned marital problems or infidelity. "Like every other parent, I hope it's a rumor," Flores said. The catcher's brother, Anthony Lo Duca, said the family was taken aback when the divorce case became public. "He's having his best season ever and this has to come out," he said. The athlete's teammates were sticking by him, including David Wright, who said last night, "Right now we need Paul to do what he does on the field."The divorce doesn't seem to be hurting Lo Duca's game. The petition was filed on June 30. Since July 1, no player in baseball has a higher batting average than his .430.
Guest Yancy Street Gang Guests Posted August 8, 2006 Posted August 8, 2006 Oh, and in the unlikely event that anyone's wondering about it, this has had only a slight impact on Paul Lo Duca's UMDB hitcount. If he wanted a surge, he would have been better off robbing a jewelry store. There are Mets catchers on both the front and back page of today's Daily News. The guy on the back page, Piazza, has more hits today than Lo Duca, who's on the front page.
Guest Edgy DC Guests Posted August 8, 2006 Posted August 8, 2006 That's six writers on an article that has nothing to say.And they're all women, which isn't a comment on women writers, but six women baseball writers isn't a collaboration. It's an association meeting. I'm willing to bet the majority of them come from the gossip sections of their respective papers.
Guest Yancy Street Gang Guests Posted August 9, 2006 Posted August 9, 2006 Again Lo Duca is on the covers of both the Daily News and the Post. The News' headline is "I LOVE MY WIFE" and the Post says that Paul had a "tryst" with a teenager.I don't quite understand why this is getting so much attention. He's certainly not the first baseball player to get a divorce. Is it his wife's soft-porn background? Unbelievable.
