I'm inclined to wait until October to consider this question.

I'm with Elster...Wright's numbers may look more well rounded, but no one has helped this team in so many ways so far than Beltran.

I'll tip my cap to Reyes, with Beltran a close second.

I go with Beltran although it's a tough call, of course that's great for us to have more than a few guys to choose from.

though Wright blows everyone else away in my Schaffer totals i'll still go with Beltran

I'm taking full credit based on my "Hotel Flushing" piece in the CPF Song Parody challenge!

Wright early, but Beltran's coming on strong.
Our Schaefer PotG give a bigger edge to Wright but I suspect that's because some vote based on personal likes & dislikes and Wright's generally more popular.

Reyes is an interesting choice. The table-setter instead of the RBI machines. I had only been considering Wright and Beltran.

But Beltran is almost approaching Reyes' run scored numbers, and his OPS and RBI obviously blows Reyes' away, so I'm going to stick with Beltran.

One of the Braves announcers said Reyes last night after the other one said Wright.

That's reason enough to disqualify them both.

Can there be any doubt now about the Mets MVP?...

Well, there are two months of season left to play.

Easy Elster, you don't want me to send you a .wav file of me singing my CPF song parody "Hotel Flushing" do you?

Yes, he has quietly become our MVP. It's just nice that there are a bunch of strong runners up

Moving up on the outside is Delgado. He was a major force earlier in the yeat when some players were injured, and he is now sizzling. If he manages to stay hot when others cool off, his late season surge will weigh heavily in the minds of the league voters.
I liken this to Matsui (no, the Yankee one) two years ago. He was their MVP early in the season when they jumped to their big lead with many of his teammates injured or having slow starts, too. He cooled off just enough for Sheffield to compile better numbers at the end of the season. Sheffield got the MVP that I thought Matsui richly deserved.

Just throwin' another name out there.

Too many candidates on one team tends to keep all of them from winning. (I'm talking about league MVP here, not team MVP.)

I think that Beltran has been the team's MVP this year, and the Schaefer results are starting to reflect that.

Maybe the current totals do reflect a bias toward Wright, as someone mentioned above. Or maybe it's a result of allocating points on a game-by-game basis. If we were doing it month-by-month, for example, I think Beltran would have a solid lead.
