Guest Johnny Dickshot Guests Posted June 23, 2006 Posted June 23, 2006 OMG CF, was just gonna post the same thing. We need EEE(Emergency Enemy Education).I don't got the freedom to try though!
nymr83 Old-Timey Member Posted June 23, 2006 Posted June 23, 2006 this is a 7:07 start thanks to Canadians being idiots with clocks.
Guest Edgy DC Guests Posted June 23, 2006 Posted June 23, 2006 As the Mets threaten in the first, I can't recall the last time I've seen fake turf cutouts around the bases.
Guest Edgy DC Guests Posted June 23, 2006 Posted June 23, 2006 This room is dead.Ugly passed ball on Molina. Catching with his Gold Glove on today.
Guest Edgy DC Guests Posted June 23, 2006 Posted June 23, 2006 Nady puts the Mets ahead with a ground triple.Oh... this is what turfball is like.
Guest Edgy DC Guests Posted June 23, 2006 Posted June 23, 2006 Molina just popped one down the right field line and barely made it to first. No speed demon, he.
Gwreck Old-Timey Member Posted June 23, 2006 Author Posted June 23, 2006 Wright absolutely crushed that one for the 3-runStill, with that Blue Jays lineup I'd like to have a few more runs for the lead.
Guest Yancy Street Gang Guests Posted June 23, 2006 Posted June 23, 2006 Lastings hit his third homer a little while ago to make it 5-0.
Guest Yancy Street Gang Guests Posted June 23, 2006 Posted June 23, 2006 TiVo just kicked in. I'll watch the rest of the game in the morning.
Gwreck Old-Timey Member Posted June 23, 2006 Author Posted June 23, 2006 Milledge having a good game with a second nice catch in the OF.For posterity:Top of the 7th, Milledge walk, Reyes grounds out, Milledge forced at second.LoDuca hits the ball, one hop off the wall and Reyes scores. LoDuca rounds second and the ball arrives at third before LoDuca even gets to the sliding pit. He turns and jogs off the field before he can be tagged out. Laughing, he goes back for the tag.
Gwreck Old-Timey Member Posted June 23, 2006 Author Posted June 23, 2006 Holy shit. Duaner throws a ball about 2 feet outside and is hurt.
MFS62 Old-Timey Member Posted June 23, 2006 Posted June 23, 2006 It looked like he was holding his arm/elbow, but Yahoo sports is saying its the shoulder.Neither good.Mr. Owens to the lobby phone.Later
nymr83 Old-Timey Member Posted June 23, 2006 Posted June 23, 2006 better the shoulder than the elbow i think...paging Mr. Owens...
Guest KC Guests Posted June 23, 2006 Posted June 23, 2006 Mets win 6-1. The win sets a team record with nine straight road wins.
Gwreck Old-Timey Member Posted June 23, 2006 Author Posted June 23, 2006 Put it in the books.Duaner had better be OK!
MFS62 Old-Timey Member Posted June 23, 2006 Posted June 23, 2006 Just remembered - didn't someone say that they had created a special K-Boom for Lastings?Maybe they'll add it to this thread tomorrow.Later
Guest Rotblatt Guests Posted June 23, 2006 Posted June 23, 2006 Nice game. I'm worried about Sanchez, though. Maybe his elbow?
Guest ScarletKnight41 Guests Posted June 23, 2006 Posted June 23, 2006 MK said that Sanchez had numbness in his hand. I wonder if that's a result of his being hit by a pitch the other day.
soupcan Old-Timey Member Posted June 23, 2006 Posted June 23, 2006 I'm going with 'blood clot/aneuryism' for $400 Alex.
Zvon Old-Timey Member Posted June 24, 2006 Posted June 24, 2006 ="soupcan"]I'm going with 'blood clot/aneuryism' for $400 Alex.Alex: Who was removed from a New York Mets baseball game in 2006 after throwing a pitch, dispite the fact that he did not suffer from this ailment?_____________________________________________Note by Z:::Actually, for all I know he may have.Watching the highlights just now they said he had a tingling sensation in his hand on the release of the pitch. He has been sent back to NY for observation and it was said that Sanchez stated that his hand felt fine a short time later. And we all have to agree, we need Sanchez doin what he does, so I also hope this was just a flukey one time occurance. Like a pinched nerve or something.

Laughing, he goes back for the tag. This was hilarious. He was running to third and then just turned away heading off the field, like-why even continue? The barbing in the dugout afterwards was pretty funny too.]Just remembered - didn't someone say that they had created a special K-Boom for Lastings?Maybe they'll add it to this thread tomorrow.Nope--that would be tempting fate even further. Ya gotta be iNdAhOuSe to go kaboom, and I wasnt. Woe is me.He'll have to go yard again, and hopefully he stays up and does just that.I read the comments in the other IGT and I have to tell ya - Ive had a bad feeling about that Wags graphic since the Yankee game and even tho quite a bit of work went into that, Im gonna shelf it. The silent treatment Milledge got in the dugout was pretty funny too. Also, nice roundabout catch by the rook at the wall.Good game- Wright is just -------I dont got the words.Im just so glad he's a New York Met.Galvine wins #11!LoDuca's got wood!
