Elster88 Old-Timey Member Posted June 12, 2006 Posted June 12, 2006 This may not count techinically, since the person who was wearing the hat has already been swallowed.
Benjamin Grimm Old-Timey Member Posted June 12, 2006 Posted June 12, 2006 I'm glad that all of the Mets caps have been blue so far.
Elster88 Old-Timey Member Posted June 12, 2006 Posted June 12, 2006 I think you're missing the point of the game Irish.
Guest holychicken Guests Posted June 12, 2006 Posted June 12, 2006 What's wrong with non-blue mets' caps?
Guest Edgy DC Guests Posted June 12, 2006 Posted June 12, 2006 Nothing that isn't wrong with any othe abomination.

Benjamin Grimm Old-Timey Member Posted June 12, 2006 Posted June 12, 2006 Another way to put it would be that it's the same thing that's wrong with green meat, brown bananas, and yellow snow.
Guest holychicken Guests Posted June 12, 2006 Posted June 12, 2006 LMAO! Great responses. However, it sounds like Elster hit the nail on the head.
Guest Edgy DC Guests Posted June 12, 2006 Posted June 12, 2006 ]However, it sounds like Elster hit the nail on the head.Nope.
Guest holychicken Guests Posted June 12, 2006 Posted June 12, 2006 I have a brown Mets shirt because it was the only non-ugly t-shirt they had in my size and it was way too hot for the long sleeve shirt I wore to the park.Am I a horrible person?
Benjamin Grimm Old-Timey Member Posted June 12, 2006 Posted June 12, 2006 I don't know you, so I can't judge. But if you are a horrible person, it's probably not because of the brown Mets shirt.I actually own (and have often worn) one of the black caps with the blue brim. I think they look okay, and it would be okay if the Mets wore them once a week or so.But the blue cap is the real cap, and the best cap. They should be wearing it the vast majority of the time.I hate the all-black cap, though. And I hate the black jerseys, especially when worn for home games. There's no place for either of them.
Guest holychicken Guests Posted June 12, 2006 Posted June 12, 2006 You are right, I am not a horrible person for my brown shirt. However, I am a horrible person because the Coolflo helmets don't bother me so much anymore.
Centerfield Old-Timey Member Posted June 12, 2006 Posted June 12, 2006 The problem with the blue cap these days is that it has that ridiculous orange dot that makes the damn thing look like a beanie. If they're going to go with the blue hat the majority of the time, they need to get rid of that damn dot.
Guest Johnny Dickshot Guests Posted June 12, 2006 Posted June 12, 2006 The dot has gotten even stupider on the all-blue, all-new streamlined batting helmet, seeing as there's no button on top to even color.
Guest Edgy DC Guests Posted June 12, 2006 Posted June 12, 2006 The dot is a small price to pay, relatively.

Of course, I was "set" in my rock and roll ways when rock and roll was really rock and roll. Later

Guest ScarletKnight41 Guests Posted June 12, 2006 Posted June 12, 2006 I like them. I even prefer them. Black is beautiful, baby!
MFS62 Old-Timey Member Posted June 12, 2006 Posted June 12, 2006 When you've had Black, you don't go back.Later

Really? You really, truly like them?I prefer the traditional look. But I like the black hats with the blue brim (second best) and I also like the all-black look.I like them all. Changes of pace are nice. The problem I see is they just go black too much.I like the road grays too.The only jerseys I don't really like are the all white ones. They should just wear the pins instead.I still think any and all of the jerseys with the double thick racing stripe down the sleeves and sides are ugly.
