stevejrogers Old-Timey Member Posted May 25, 2006 Posted May 25, 2006 And Mike & The Mad Dog on the air.Heh, going to be hilarious for those who listen to the Mets via MLB's Internet Radio feed and hearing those two rather than professional announcers!

MFS62 Old-Timey Member Posted May 25, 2006 Posted May 25, 2006 With Jeremi on the mound, something tells me I'd rather have Chavez' defense in the outfield rather than Nady's offense in the lineup. (Although a case can be made that Nady is taller, and might be able to catch balls headed over the fence.)Later
Guest Edgy DC Guests Posted May 25, 2006 Posted May 25, 2006 Funny to see the A-List on a weekday. I'd've thought that Castro might get another day out there. Then again, he might be huting more than Lo Duca.
Centerfield Old-Timey Member Posted May 25, 2006 Posted May 25, 2006 "Sweep the Phils. Do you have a problem with that Mr. Randolph?"
Gwreck Old-Timey Member Posted May 25, 2006 Posted May 25, 2006 Stat of the day: the Mets have never lost when Jeremi Gonzalez starts.Ok, seriously now -- I think Nady is a better choice than Chavez because my guess is that the Mets will have to outhit the Phils to win today.

Guest Hillbilly Guests Posted May 25, 2006 Posted May 25, 2006 God Damn, based on the pre-game it sounds like todays word picture is going to be full of stick-figures.
Gwreck Old-Timey Member Posted May 25, 2006 Posted May 25, 2006 As much as I hate Francesca, props for using the phrase "here to paint you the word picture."
Diamond Dad Old-Timey Member Posted May 25, 2006 Posted May 25, 2006 Of course, the WFAN feed is blacked out on the internet. Probably better not to have to listen to Dog call the plays.
Elster88 Old-Timey Member Posted May 25, 2006 Posted May 25, 2006 And Gonzalez sucks.A so-so home run call by Russo.
Diamond Dad Old-Timey Member Posted May 25, 2006 Posted May 25, 2006 In the time it took to post that last message . . . (Jeremy should be packing his bags between innings)
Centerfield Old-Timey Member Posted May 25, 2006 Posted May 25, 2006 I will be happy when Jeremi Gonzalez is no longer on this team.

Diamond Dad Old-Timey Member Posted May 25, 2006 Posted May 25, 2006 So, as the fans settle into their seats here at big Shea . . .It's already Phillies 3, Mets eventually coming to bat

Centerfield Old-Timey Member Posted May 25, 2006 Posted May 25, 2006 You know, Mike and the Dog are better than I thought they'd be.
Guest Rockin' Doc Guests Posted May 25, 2006 Posted May 25, 2006 Reyes doubles to start the Mets comeback.
Centerfield Old-Timey Member Posted May 25, 2006 Posted May 25, 2006 Reyes leadoff double. Let's get 'em back boys.
