would we be bashing willie if heilman hadnt gotten out of that?

I dont see how we could.....thats Heilmans role there.
And one inning was wise.

Duke was good for the gate.
What?--you think he hurt the Mets chances in '63?

I guess you didnt like them giving Willie Mays his last tour.

Valentin walks. Then takes second on a pitch in the dirt. The Mets need to get him in, NOW!!!

Villone, who sounds like he should be umping, wants Delgado.

Crazy, man.

Nope, he goes after Beltran with one pitch and gets him.

Let's agree that's the last time the Mets ever put Cairo aboard.

Sanchez in for the 8th inning. Promptly walks Cairo to start the inning. Now gives up a single to Damon.

Yankees on first and second with no outs and Jeter up.

Wow. Two infield hits to Sanchez in a row. Boo.

Again, i repeat myself, throw some damn strikes.

Oh great, Jeter attempting to sacrifice gets a bunt single. Unbelievable!

this is the attitude we all need to try and lose!

I can have whatever attitude I want. Sometimes multiple attitudes in the same thread.

Double plaze rool.

I wonder how it feels. Yankee fans have the best player in the league and dislike him.

That must be miserable.

Then again they have perhaps the 40th-best player in the league and love the stuffing out of him.

That's the way the Mets play! Getting out of jams and using superior defense to keep the lead. I knew they could do it!

Rally now...

Kick out the jams motherfuckers !
Yeah! I, I, I, I, I'm gonna
I'm gonna kick 'em out ! Yeah !
Well i feel pretty good
And i guess that i could
Get crazy now baby
Cause we all got in tune
And when the dressing room
Got hazy now baby

I know how you want it child
Hot, quick and tight
The girls can't stand it
When you're doin'it right
Let me up on the stand
And let me kick out the jams
Yes, kick out the jams

I want to kick'em out !

Yes i'm starting to sweat
You know my shirt's all wet
What a feeling!
In the sound that abounds
And resounds and rebounds
Off the ceiling!

You gotta have it baby
You can't do without
When you get that feeling
You gotta sock'em out
Put that mike in my hand
And let me kick out the jams
Yes ! Kick out the jams
I want to kick'em out!

( guitar )

So you got to give it up
You know you can't get enough
Miss Mackenzie
Cause it gets in your brain
It drives you insane
With the frenzy

The wigglin guitars girl
The crash of the drums
Make you wanna keep-a-rockin'
Till the morning comes

Let me be who i am
And let me kick out the jam
Yes, kick out the jams
I done kicked em out !!!

There are two types of Torre moves.

(1) Where the genius is apparent.
(2) Where the genius is yet to be revealed.

I'm happy with that move. So I'm not going to complain.

What's hairy and terrifying and soon to appear at Shea Stadium?

As the "non-clutch" label gets driven a little further into ARod's hide.

We gotta smack Scott Erickson for a run or two here.

Heaven help us, Wild-thing Wagner is warming to pitch the ninth.
