nymr83 Old-Timey Member Posted May 9, 2006 Posted May 9, 2006 uhoh, 2-out triple..well, Heilman can pick his poison now
metirish Old-Timey Member Posted May 9, 2006 Author Posted May 9, 2006 It would suck donkey balls to lose this game after Delgado got it back for us....
nymr83 Old-Timey Member Posted May 9, 2006 Posted May 9, 2006 it's 3-1 to utley,. i hate to say it but i'd walk him in this situation rather than throw a meatball
Zvon Old-Timey Member Posted May 9, 2006 Posted May 9, 2006 im speechless again. And a lil premature with the Sandman graphic
nymr83 Old-Timey Member Posted May 9, 2006 Posted May 9, 2006 Abreu will bat with the bases loaded and 2 outs...
Gwreck Old-Timey Member Posted May 9, 2006 Posted May 9, 2006 I'm having bad flashbacks to the last time I was at Citizens Bank Park. It was Franco on the mound though, not Heilman.
Zvon Old-Timey Member Posted May 9, 2006 Posted May 9, 2006 just dont walk the winning run home AAron----just dont.

TransMonk Old-Timey Member Posted May 9, 2006 Posted May 9, 2006 Now we know how Washington felt. This was my least favorite game of the season so far.

Guest GYC Guests Posted May 9, 2006 Posted May 9, 2006 And that's why you're in the bullpen, you ass.

Guest Edgy DC Guests Posted May 9, 2006 Posted May 9, 2006 Assuming that's right, and accepting for the moment that that play was stupid, you deal with a shaky fielding pitcher by consigning him to late innings of close games?
Guest KC Guests Posted May 9, 2006 Posted May 9, 2006 I thought it was a pretty entertaining game -- this is going to be a fun divisionif everyone can remain tight and in it. Nice jack by Delgado. I need more bang-pow in my Mets life.Keith, please drop the "clutch" stuff down a bit.
metirish Old-Timey Member Posted May 9, 2006 Author Posted May 9, 2006 Pedro on the post-game talking about how his team is one tough club, thinks this team will win a lot of games, gives lots of credit to Philly for a great game, Pedro is a great interview, LoDuca thought he had the better chance at the throw but concedes that it was a tough play either way.
Guest Johnny Dickshot Guests Posted May 9, 2006 Posted May 9, 2006 If I'm LoDuca, I feel worse about not gathering in that relay allowing the 8th inning run than that last play. Sure it's a tough bang bang play, but that's one of the few times a game could hang on one.I'll second that comment above made no sense.
metirish Old-Timey Member Posted May 9, 2006 Author Posted May 9, 2006 That was a tough play Dickshot, sure I thought he should have had the relay but hard to fault him on that, Piazza IIRC was great on such plays.
