Fans are learning to like Beltran.

I know it's corny, and maybe that's part of its charm, but they gotta bring that apple and hat to the new park.

It's not even a question. They can call it whatever they want -- Corporate.com ballpark, but they gotta have the Apple/hat.

Make a new one, that paper mache baby does have alot of wear and tear on it.

Serious, same design, only brand spanking new and less suspectable to dings and dents through the years

They should keep every ding and dent. It adds character to the thing, especially since just about every dent was caused by a home run. (Some may have been caused by ground rule doubles.)

Got one, season tix subscriber "gift trinket" couple of years back

Clock battery was crap though, only lasted about a day!

True, I guess I'm on a "New Ballpark, New Stuff" kick and keep the old Apple as a landmarker in the parking lot

Yahoo sorts is reporting that Zambrano left the game because of a right elbow injury. This is one game where the bullpen is stretched so thin that the team was depending on him to gut it out and eat some innings.

I could say something here about him leaving the game with a "tummy ache" not being possible because he has never shown any guts. But I won't.
Oh, wait. I just did.

Oliver strikes out the side, he has 6 on the game.

Baseball is weird.

The O-man is picking up the Z-man nicely.

55 pitches for Oliver and he's scheduled to lead off. I think he hits, they get at least 1 more inning out of him.

Leadoff double for Oliver. Hot damn.

He might be the best-hitting pitcher on the Mets.

Crap - Renteria scores the tying run on a single by Larry.

Oliver gets a nice ovation as he leaves the mound.

its 2-2 now.

I'm not too concerned about the rotation, since i considered Victor and his 7 ERA to be crap anyway whoever replaces him shouldnt be a problem. I'd love to see Soler or Pelfrey soon.

Fortunado induces an inning-ending double play.
