Apparently in response to pledges for WFMU, they take requests, and somebody requested "Meet the Mets," which they performed.

A friend just emailed it to me...the questions are:

1. Newsworthy or just news to me?

2. Anybody need the MP3?

I was searching for a recording of the original MtM song a couple of weeks ago around when "OTOT" was released and stumbled across a streaming (RealMedia) version of Yo La Tengo's here: http://blog.wfmu.org/freeform/2006/04/yo_la_tengo_is_.html

I was happy to see an MP3 version posted yesterday on one of the prominent Mets blogs as well.

The new Sing-A-Long will debut tomorrow night as the Mets begin a three-game homestand against the Atlanta Braves. Disappointed to discover tonite they played the new Met song before the game.
