Guest sharpie Guests Posted April 27, 2006 Posted April 27, 2006 I don't want to read about people not wanting to talk about not wanting to see it.
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted April 29, 2006 Posted April 29, 2006 While I'm not going to rush out to see this I'm not sure I'd purposely avoid it either.
Benjamin Grimm Old-Timey Member Posted April 29, 2006 Posted April 29, 2006 I'd be willing to watch it. I don't feel a strong desire to, but if it comes on HBO I might watch it.
Willets Point Old-Timey Member Posted May 3, 2006 Posted May 3, 2006 It's a new genre! Oliver Stone will follow up with his own Sept. 11th exploitation film this summer.
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted May 3, 2006 Posted May 3, 2006 Who do you suppose is responsible for the attacks in Stone's version?Bush?Exxon?Limbaugh? The Klan?Miltary-Industrial Complex? The same shadowy folks who killed Diane & Dody?
Willets Point Old-Timey Member Posted May 4, 2006 Posted May 4, 2006 From the description it doesn't seem to be a conspiracy film just a straight docu-drama:In the aftermath of the World Trade Center disaster, hope is still alive. Refusing to bow down to terrorism, rescuers and family of the victims press forward. Their mission of rescue and recovery is driven by the faith that under each piece of rubble, a co-worker, a friend a family member may be found. This is the true story of John McLoughlin and William J. Jimeno, the last two survivors extracted from Ground Zero and the rescuers who never gave up. It's a story of the true heroes of that fateful time in the history of the United States when buildings would fall and heroes would rise, literally from the ashes to inspire the entire human race.
Guest cooby Guests Posted May 6, 2006 Posted May 6, 2006 My daughter went to see this the other night. She obviously did not enjoy watching it, but she was impressed by the production of it and she says it has an absolutely stunning ending. (no pun intended)
