Two run single for Zimmerman and Zambrano has an ERA.

And meanwhile, Zambrano is slowly imploding.

Ah, Carlos, how I've missed you.

- J. Vidro walked
- J. Guillen flied out to deep center
- N. Johnson doubled to left, J. Vidro to third
- R. Zimmerman singled to right center, N. Johnson and J. Vidro scored

I didn't accuse Gary and Ketih of being homers, douchebags, or asskissers, did I? This is a great technique. If I point out how X is screwing up, contradict me by pointing out how.Z, and M have not screwed up at all.

There's a Zambrano meltdown alert in progress now, according to the National Weather Service. Watch out for high velocity objects flying around Washington DC.

Mets 6, Nats 2.

I'm sure you would.

Allow me to respond in kind:

I'm sure you'll take any innocuous statement of Ed's (which is completely true) and write an unnecessarily hostile, three-paragraph diatribe while your blood pressure rises to dangerous levels.

And you just got done complaining about people ripping into the Mushnick article in the exact same manner. It's amazing what a hypocrite you are. Shocking, really.

Except it's false. To characterize Beltran as being notably relaxed "this season" is either to be clueless, inattentive, a lying nosepicker, or blind. if he would have said "this week," I would have agreed.

What you also don't get, Elster, is that my cardiologist recommends venting on the Mets to ease my blood pressure. My posts are all done under careful medical supervision.

Will somebody please help Elster?

Back to the game. Nick Johnson is a real pain in the rosy red rectum.

An RBI double for Floyd, good to see him hitting finally.

7-2 Mets

Gotta like how Frank "Old Skool" Robinson seems determined to just leave Livan in there to absorb the beating he's taking. He'll come out after 30 runs of 120 pitches, whichever comes first.

What's more fun than two people engaging in a pointless argument on a message board? When one of their avatars is so screwed up that it makes the entire thread practically unreadable. Thanks.

Or maybe he just misspoke? He could be a truthful nosepicker.

In that case, you must have the heart rate of a champion marathon runner. If it keeps you healthy, god bless.

It's not like Robinson has any better options in the bullpen. I'd leave Hernandez out there instead of brining in whoever the Nationals' long reliever is.

There's no such thing as a pointless argument on a message board.

After about 100 attempts and gallons of plasma, I've surgically removed Elster's avatar.

Cliff Floyd doubled in a run. What a wimp!

You're right--I read your post as TV--"Gary & Keith"--and not radio. My bad.

I therefore have nothing to contribute as I haven't listened to the radio at all this season (thank you, SNY!).

Getting Cliff going is magic, this time last year he was the Mets offence, now he can relax and find his stroke.

The funny thing about hanging Livan out to dry is that homers allow you to give up seven runs on far fewer pitches than walks and doubles, so his pitch count isn't far off what Zambrano's is.

Checking: Zambo is leading, 83-76 with one-third fewrer innings.

Did Ramon Castro really just beat out an infield grounder to first base?

Yes, any fact contrary to reality as expressed by Ed Coleman on the air as true should be attributed to the malfunction of his mouth, despite his best intentions. This explains a lot.

Except the part about what such an incompetent eunuch is doing speaking for a living. Is your defense really going to be "Your honor, my client doesn't know what he's saying. All sorts of crap spews from his mouth all the time. He can't help it."?

The part I found particularly persuasive is the part where Coleman's verbal farts are about 50/50 between statements that serve the Mets' PR relations ("Carlos is so cool, so fan friendly, so completely sweet and good-natured") and those that give the Mets bad PR ("Carlos is a petulant, over-reacting, moody brat who can't take criticism.")

Woodward knocks Reyes in, 8-3

Top 6TH B:0 S:1 O:0
Ramon Castro reaches on missed catch error by pitcher Livan Hernandez, assist to first baseman Nick Johnson.

An assist with no put-out. Nice.

The change from the word "season" to "week" is not nearly significant as you are making it out to be.

Yes, "Beltran hit 2 HRs this week" means just about the same as "Beltran hit 2 HRs this season." Same difference.

Well, whaddya know. Willie's a genius after all.

Reyes reached on a fielder's choice, then stole 2nd with two outs, and Woody singled him home.

8-3 Mets.

You refuse to give this up don't you?

Saying "Beltran looks relaxed this season" instead of saying "Beltran looks relaxed this week" when the season is 10 days old is not that big a change. To argue otherwise makes you look incredibly stupid.

I'm just the messenger here.

NOTE: I'm assuming a high SC in the quoted statement of yours.
