I saw that! Did any of you guys see that?

Yeah, he's got mad skills, although one poster here thought there was no need to dive for it.....

i cringe when i see a Met dive in an exhibition game...i know its a fine balance between maintaining your aggressiveness and playing not to get hurt.

didn't see the game but listened to a couple of innings on the FAN. I specifically tuned in to hear Tom McCarthy's Met debut, but it took a few minutes to convince myself that it was not Cohen - they sound that much alike. He has big shoes to fill, but it was a solid first impression. He was paired with Coleman, and it made me very thankful that the powers at be were smart enough not to promote Eddie.

Yeah Coleman is a terrible at pbp, I remember last season when he was doing it when Gary went on vacation, useless would be a compliment to him.

Couple of things...

I am really really concerned about Pedro's toe. When they were showing those slo-mo's of his feet, you can really see how violent that action is. I don't know that any shoe can counter that. Did anyone else cringe when Phillips compared Pedro's toe to Barry's knee?

Mike Pelfrey can bring it and he has perfect form. His delivery is free and easy and it looks like he could throw all day. I'm guessing Tommy John by mid-June or so.

I thought Milledge's swing looked too long to hit for an effective average in the bigs.

The metallic looking batting helmets freakin' rock.

What is this about Delgado's elbow? Why did we not hear about it before? If it's that serious, why is he going to Puerto Rico instead of the Mets trainer's examing table?

Beltran looks good. I think he's going to have a bounce-back year.

How about it? I had no idea he slammed it down like that!

I cringe every time Phillips speaks.

They made it seem like no big deal. It might have just come up in the last day or so. They way they told it, he should be ready to go. I suppose we'll see.

I've been having elbow pain for 2 weeks I'm almost certain is tennis elbow (tendonitis), which I got not from tennis but from carrying some heavy stuff awkwardly.

My understanding is nothing will cure it but rest.
