Farmer Ted Old-Timey Member Posted February 7, 2006 Posted February 7, 2006 Much to Cooby's excitement, a new minor league team to her neck of the woods. And I mean it when I say woods. The NY-Penn Cardinals are moving from a stadium in the middle of a farm in North Central Jersey to a stadium in a parking lot next to Paterno University. Still no match for the Clones.Another logo that looks like a deer in headlights. Pun intended.http://www.statecollegespikes.com/
Guest cooby Guests Posted February 7, 2006 Posted February 7, 2006 Yeah, their logo has caused much glee in the cooby household. The one where it is jumping over the team name is good, though
Guest cooby Guests Posted February 7, 2006 Posted February 7, 2006 That didn't turn out but you can see it sorta
HahnSolo Old-Timey Member Posted February 7, 2006 Posted February 7, 2006 There goes the traditional rival of the Hudson Valley Renegades.
seawolf17 Old-Timey Member Posted February 7, 2006 Posted February 7, 2006 Plus, as anyone from the greater Rochester, NY area knows, thisis Spikes. Not some stoopid deer.
Guest cooby Guests Posted February 7, 2006 Posted February 7, 2006 It's going to make a dandy rivalry here though, because State College and Williamsport are not very far apart
MFS62 Old-Timey Member Posted February 7, 2006 Posted February 7, 2006 Too bad the Mets don't have their farm team in Williamsport anymore.Later
Guest cooby Guests Posted February 7, 2006 Posted February 7, 2006 I loved that. They've been here twice actually
Willets Point Old-Timey Member Posted February 8, 2006 Posted February 8, 2006 Seems that cooby is more pro-Spikes now than when this was previously discussed.
Guest cooby Guests Posted February 8, 2006 Posted February 8, 2006 No, not really, I will still be rooting for Williamsport Crosscutters. How could I not? My daughter worked for them one summer
