Dropping cable or going to economy cable at 14.95 a month would be my personal form of protest. That's all

I don't want to protest, I want to watch the Mets.

Besides, I get enough guff around home for having candles-only Thursdays
and no water usage after 9.

No SNY yet, I called Cablevision tonight and was told that they fully expect to carry but don't know when that will be....

FAN reporting a deal between Cablevision and SNY. Only caught a quick mention, but supposedly it will be on in time for tonight's game. Channel 60 (at least for tonight) in most areas.

]SNY, Cablevision reach deal

BY NEIL BEST

SportsNet New York reached a carriage agreement with Cablevision Thursday, doubling the regional sports network's distribution and calming Mets fans who were concerned that they would be shut out of their team's games this season.

SNY launched March 16 and since then has been in serious talks with the Long Island-based cable TV giant, which has about 3 million customers. Previously, SNY had been available in about 3 million homes, primarily through Comcast and Time Warner, which are part owners of the network.

Cablevision homes were expected to have access to SNY sometime Thursday night, when a Mets spring training game against the Marlins was to be shown. The network will be carried on Channel 60.

SNY will show 125 Mets games this season.

Next on SNY's agenda are the two largest satellite TV providers, DirecTV and Dish Network. A deal with DirecTV seems more likely. Dish does not carry the Yankees' YES Network.

The Mets' opener is April 3.

It's not on in central Westchester, but my bet is (like LF I think said) FitTV
on channel 73 (the # here) is about to bite the dust and round out a YES,
MSG, FSNY, SNY quadfecta.

I'd like to once again giggle to myself and point out that the Yankee fans had to miss a season of games....and we didn't.

Thanks for being the guinea pig, George!

And they didn't have CF on their side!

YES really ws the guinea pig in that theirs was a huge fight over the concept of who - provider or distributer - got to decide whether the channel was destined to be part of the regular package or stuffed onto a pay tier.
Once Cablevision lost that fight the rules for this addition were much more defined and all that remained to fight over was the price. It's why I was only somewhat worried over this but never really panicked.

It's on 60 now here too - on the iO Digital Channel Guide station?

I'll take it, but the picture sucks, audio ain't much better.

Yeah it's 60 here,I hear the in-game picture sucks, is Bill Webb with SNY, he's the best at game direction.

Welcome guys.

I'll be honest: After getting shut out for 7 months last year, I was kinda enjoying having MTV to myself. I'm a jerkoff.

If you're watching now, you're getting Rain Delay Theatre. Coming up, you'll see Greg in the next segment (guy with glasses, not interviewed).

Iwas looking forward to seeing Iriki tonite, hopefully not a rainout

Did I miss Greg?

I stepped away for a minute, and came back to Billy Wagner helping deliver a baby alpalca.

When they showed the Wagner footage on the kid show this week, the girl who hosts the show followed it up by asking Wagner, "What was it like giving birth to an alpalca?"

I'm sorry, KC, but when I saw your "nothing" post and that little guy hitting his head on his desk, I laughed out loud.

Hope it works out for you

I hope Darling is up to this. For an Ivy Leaguer, he always seemed a beat and a half behind the conversation.

When I watched Darling on WPIX 11 last week he sounded a lot like Hernandez to me.....

Off subject but..Brian Bannister reminds me of Ron Darling..not overpowering..must maintain command ..12-6 curve...hits corners...keeps ball low..
