NEW YORK,28SEP99 - New York Mets manager Bobby Valentine
throws water onto the field after starting pitcher Orel Hershiser (back L)
allowed four runs to the Atlanta Braves before being relieved during the
first inning at Shea Stadium in New York, September 28. The Mets, who
are fighting for a wildcard playoff spot, have lost six straight games.

New York, September 28. Valentine commented over the weekend that if
the Mets, who now trail the Cincinnati Reds in the wildcard race, don't
make the playoffs he should be fired.

Piazza after Piazza was ejected from the game by homeplate umpire
Mike Wegner in the seventh inning of their game against the Florida
Marlins in Miami, June 1, 2002. Both Valetine and Piazza were kicked
out of the game after Piazza had words with Wegner over the strike zone.
The Marlins defeated the Mets 9-7.

wow. great shots. as to their "order": when Bobby's getting the herave-ho you can see the umpire's glass falling from his head... in the "later" shot, they are in his hands, FWIW

You did SK and that is a great pic lubitul, worth seeing twice :)

Thats what made me change the original order i had em in.
The damn sunglasses.

The way I 1st had it made it look like he tossed BobbyV and then pushed him to keep him from steppin on the sunglasses,lol.


I figure they went from his hat, to the floor, to his hand.
But i dont see em at all in the last pic.

I saw this actually happen on TV, and all I remember is that I didnt think Bobby was going too far and needed a push back from the ump. But maybe he had something with garlic in it for lunch.
I dunno.

Im kinda surprised more didnt contribute to BobbyVs week.
