I'd vote no on outfield assists but otherwise whatever you want.

Home runs or saves

I just remembered, I won't be able to participate in the next gut-wrnching installment.
I'll be on the road through Friday.
Have fun, kiddies.
Play nice, and remember to share.

It's hard to find other categories. I would say saves or batting average, though for batting average you'd probably need to give a ton of clues.

This thread started with homers.

I can easily do all of Edgy's suggestions except games by position. That one does sound interesting, so maybe I'll take a look at that and see if it's feasible.

I had to disable that a month or so ago. The process that was building that information stopped working because of a server "upgrade." I put in another way to build the info, but it crashed the database.

The reason it crashed the database has supposedly been fixed, so I plan to restore that feature. However, I don't want to do it until after my upcoming vacation, in case something else goes wrong. I don't want the database to be down for a week or more while I'm getting chased by bears in Alaska.

Some more scavenger hunting for photoless Mets.

The best Marrero I can find:

DiFelice. I don't know your policy on backwards caps, but if you ask me it adds a nice backstop flavor.

The begoggled Juan Padilla

Jose Parra

Jorge Velandia

Kane Davis, blue cap special.

Eric Cammack, rockin' the blue cap.

Dan Murray

Jim Tatum

Rick Wilkins, with DiFelice syndrome

Tony Phillips

Tim Spehr

Todd Haney, feeling blue

Ok, I'm stopping at 1998 because my eyes are starting to bleed.

Thaaaaat's Steve Trachsel. You can tell by how long it took him to throw this pitch.

I thought it looked like Trachsel, but the caption and beard threw me off.

Billy Wynne is an unusually unpopular Met.

Francisco may have only gotten two big-league at-bats, but he went on to manage the Mexican national team, as well as the Leon B's:

Beating the rap pays off, as Jeff Reardon yesterday once again became the UMDB's top lookup.
