Guest Bret Sabermetric Guests Posted September 1, 2005 Posted September 1, 2005 You and Rotblatt fight this out among yourselves
Guest Rotblatt Guests Posted September 1, 2005 Posted September 1, 2005 Beat me to it, Elster! From my aborted thread:It's a new month for the new Mets, and they need to turn over a new leaf. Today's Key Questions for the Game: Can Glavine remain dominant? Will our bats awaken? Will Leiber continue to suck ass against lefties? Will Willie play every lefty on his bench in order to maximize Leiber's suckage? Willie gets it right by putting Matsui in there, but errs by taking Castro out of the lineup. Castro's hot as hell and hammered the ball in his last at bat. If ever we were going to put Jacobs at C, today was the day, as lefties are hitting .315 off of Lieber, and Mientkiewicz is on the bench, I think.
Guest Bret Sabermetric Guests Posted September 1, 2005 Posted September 1, 2005 Hey, where'd Rotblatt's IGT go? That was like a one-punch knockout.

Guest Rotblatt Guests Posted September 1, 2005 Posted September 1, 2005 ]Hey, where'd Rotblatt's IGT go? That was like a one-punch knockout.Well, Bret, posters these days no longer have any heart-gumption-fire-sticktoitiveness. Not like in the good old days, when guys like Sal, Norrin & Wide roamed the hallowed halls of CPF, getting into fights at the drop of a hat and setting New York cyberspace abuzz with their firey invective and drunken abuse.

I'd still rather see Castro in there, though . . .
Guest Edgy DC Guests Posted September 1, 2005 Posted September 1, 2005 Not sure I wouldn't want to try Jacobs at catcher and Offerdude at first.Today is Tom Glavine's bar mitzvah. "Today I am a Met."

Guest Rotblatt Guests Posted September 1, 2005 Posted September 1, 2005 Glavine strikes out Howard. Bell makes what sounds like an amazing play to rob Reyes of an infield single.
Guest Rotblatt Guests Posted September 1, 2005 Posted September 1, 2005 And fucking Matsui flies out on the first pitch he sees.Goddamnit, that's 2 outs on 3 pitches. We can't keep gift wrapping innings for pitchers.
