Zvon Old-Timey Member Posted August 30, 2005 Posted August 30, 2005 Tejeda looks good. Mets have to get to him.In the meantime, lets get thru an inning without givin up any more runs.Clutch utleyAbreuBurrellscheduled to bat
Guest OlerudOwned Guests Posted August 30, 2005 Posted August 30, 2005 Ugh...I feel like this is my fault because I found Jae Seo was a free agent in by fantasy baseball leauge and signed him. DAMN ME!
Zvon Old-Timey Member Posted August 30, 2005 Posted August 30, 2005 Utley gronds out sharply.Career, Utley is now 0-10 vs Seo with 5 Ks.(wish i had this info for the KTE)Seo has thrown over 50 pitches at this point.Only the 3rd inn, so we should see some Met relief work.Seo does look like he's settling, but still leavin the ball up more than im used to seein from him.Nice inning from Seo.Put down the heart of the order.

DAMN ME!LMAO.I hear ya, but dont take the blame.Thats why we love this game.the darndest things happen.
Guest Rotblatt Guests Posted August 30, 2005 Posted August 30, 2005 Dump him NOW, Olerud!Anyway, Seo gets tough. With his fastball back around 90, he strikes out Abreu & Burrell after getting Utley to ground out.

Zvon Old-Timey Member Posted August 30, 2005 Posted August 30, 2005 Seo gets thru another tuff inning.Gets in trouble then gets out of it.Mets need a rally.
duan Old-Timey Member Posted August 30, 2005 Posted August 30, 2005 wright singles ...if this gets to Seo i'm Ph'ing for him - get Heillman warmed up says I
Guest Rotblatt Guests Posted August 30, 2005 Posted August 30, 2005 This game sucks. Wright singles to lead off the inning, then Jacobs hits it hard to Rollins, who doubles him up.bleh.
Guest Rotblatt Guests Posted August 30, 2005 Posted August 30, 2005 And Diaz with a lazy, two-out triple.
Guest Edgy DC Guests Posted August 30, 2005 Posted August 30, 2005 There's that Lofton D I was talking about.Diaz was busting it right out of the box, but he stumbled two or three times around the bases. Never let up, though.
Guest Rotblatt Guests Posted August 30, 2005 Posted August 30, 2005 Castro pops up to end the inning. This game is annoying me.
Guest Rotblatt Guests Posted August 30, 2005 Posted August 30, 2005 Diaz's defense costs us a double. And we're apparently 0-24 with runners in scoring position.
Zvon Old-Timey Member Posted August 30, 2005 Posted August 30, 2005 but we cant capitalize on the stumbling triple. The Mets are not putting anything together.Lofton double---diaz freezes on it.Eyeeecurumba.On a side note:The homer by Lofton in the 1st was his 1st since opening day.(see, I can depress people too, bret  )YES.Mets get lofton at the plate on the Utley single. He was safe too.
Guest Rotblatt Guests Posted August 30, 2005 Posted August 30, 2005 Holy shit. Beltran threw out Lofton on Utley's single to center.Sounds like a nice, close play by Beltran.
Guest Edgy DC Guests Posted August 30, 2005 Posted August 30, 2005 Lofton surely beat that throw, but I'm not sure his foot caught the plate.Cairo's bringing it on O and D tonight. Not sure what It is, but... .
Guest martin Guests Posted August 30, 2005 Posted August 30, 2005 i see that play sometimes, where the foot is above, but not on, the plate, and it is mostly called safe. nice work by the umpire. usually i expect they just give that to the runner the way they give the phantom 2b tag to the fielder on the DP.
Guest martin Guests Posted August 30, 2005 Posted August 30, 2005 crap i didnt even notice. i meant to say something thoughtful for the seaver post. oh well. you win some, you lose some.
Zvon Old-Timey Member Posted August 30, 2005 Posted August 30, 2005 The ump had a bad angle.i think Loftons foot was in but Castros quick lunge gets the call.Phils manager Manuel gets tossed.Heres a shot just available off Burrells 1st inning homer. You can see how he went down and got a low pitch off Seo.Looked like that swing he put on Glavins off speed stuff early in the season.Burrell singles, and good think utley didnt try to get to 2nd on that play at the plate. He only moves up to 2nd
Guest OlerudOwned Guests Posted August 30, 2005 Posted August 30, 2005 HAIL! and farewell, to a very fleeting Sacred Seaver Post
Zvon Old-Timey Member Posted August 30, 2005 Posted August 30, 2005 ooouuuuuu.Nice pitch by Seo Ks Howard.very nice pitch.Dodges another bullett.CBS sportsline has Padilla up in the pen for the Mets.
Guest Rotblatt Guests Posted August 30, 2005 Posted August 30, 2005 Seo ponies up again to strike out Howard.Well, for my money, Seo adjusted to his lack of stuff okay.
Zvon Old-Timey Member Posted August 30, 2005 Posted August 30, 2005 am i slippin or what. Did I miss that?belated HAIL!!!!!!!!!
Guest KC Guests Posted August 30, 2005 Posted August 30, 2005 The play at home was a lot closer on the subsequent Mets' camera anglesthan it originally looked. I was laughing at first that they got a gift. Gutsy call by blue if he saw what we saw in slow-mo four times. Time'll tell if it matters. I love seeing Phillies managers get tossed, It seemsto be a job requirement sometimes.

Guest KC Guests Posted August 30, 2005 Posted August 30, 2005 Seo done after five. Fan favorite, Matsui, is pinch hitting to lead off the bottom half.
Guest Edgy DC Guests Posted August 30, 2005 Posted August 30, 2005 Boopunks going after Matsui. To Heckuba with them, I hope he stays in and bumps the pitcher back into Cairo's spot.
