Guest ScarletKnight41 Guests Posted August 10, 2005 Posted August 10, 2005 I'm sure that Sid Fernandez routinely lied about his weight. He and Ron Darling were as tall as each other, but Sid only owned up to being five pounds heavier than Ron. Yeah....Right.....I'm also amused that Butch Husky really was pretty husky.
Guest Edgy DC Guests Posted August 10, 2005 Posted August 10, 2005 Agbayani weighted in under 230?OK!
Benjamin Grimm Old-Timey Member Posted August 10, 2005 Author Posted August 10, 2005 It's also pretty insane that Mickey Lolich doesn't appear on the list. His official playing weight was probably taken when he was 17.
Centerfield Old-Timey Member Posted August 10, 2005 Posted August 10, 2005 I think it's cool we have a short Met named "Short" and a big Met named "Huskey".
nymr83 Old-Timey Member Posted August 10, 2005 Posted August 10, 2005 lesson: midgets can't hit (at least compared to the taller folk on the mets)pretty strange how about 99% of players are between 5'9 and 6'5...i'd guess there arent more tall athletes because they are relatively rarer in the population (5'9 is about average height for a man in the usa) and because they chose other sports (the NBA, NFL.) as for short people i guess they just stink, but i already knew that :P
Willets Point Old-Timey Member Posted August 10, 2005 Posted August 10, 2005 I'm wondering wear Rusty Staub is. He just exhuded big to me. At least 1980's Rusty Staub, maybe he was svelter in his first go-around with the Mets.
Zach Thornton Syracuse Mets - AAA LHP On Sunday, the southpaw tossed five shutout innings as the bulk pitcher. He gave up 2 hits, walked 2 and had 5 strikeouts. Explore Zach Thornton News >
