My knowledge of the enemy was remarkably poor, as was Tom Glavine's.

Has Lundy been posting?

Listen. The Mets swept the Cubs for one reason and one reason alone: we had a quality KTE from Lundy --- a four-bagger into the parking lot --- and we were all prepared. We were game ready from the get-go to the last pitch by Aaron Heilman.

Now we have nobody scheduled to follow up with the Padres, and we so desperately need knowledge of our monastic enemies who have been trading of late. Who wants to jump in here?

Hey, thanks for volunteering, Willets.

Yeah, I found that photo looking for a shot of baseball-playing friars, but have you ever seen a monk look so much like a caricature of a monk before?

Now I'm thinking that I actually must've stumbled upon the photo that was the source for the logo...

It's gotta be.

Edgy, that's crazy, it has to be true, it really is an amazing pic, the more you study it the more you see.

If the Cards series isn't taken I'd take a stab at probably my third most hated team behind the Yanks and Dodgers.

BTW 9/11 two New York teams will be playing teams named "Cardinals" with the Giants playing at home against Arizona, which could be a highly emotional affair, on both sidelines

The Cards are yours.

Hey Edgy, since you didn't do the Dodgers this weekend ya wanna tell us all about the Pirates by tomorrow?

Yeah, I owe you that much.

Too disturbed by the Padres series. Dodgers were half over before I snapped out of it. Too busy digging up crap from 1979, I guess.

It's a Crane Pool Tradition for someone to analyze our opponent before a series.

We actually have a KTE archive now - go down and read a few prior threads.

I will but Im not only multitasking here, Im bookootasking.

Im familiar with the Phils team, and I can help you there.
Ill figure out how to do that when i can.

If I read that list right, Phils are open.

Hey Z-dude, if you want the Phils series at the end of August it's yours.

As mentioned, you can flip through some of the earlier examples here as a guideline - but it's not like there are any hard and fast rules about what's gotta be in it. It's just a way of letting the forum know more about the upcoming opponent they probably haven't seen for a while ... so most KTEs tell us about the scheduled pitching matchups, who's hot/who's not, recent callups/DLs, ex-Mets we might be seeing, your personal sexual experiences with any of the opposing players, new police blotter info, stuff like that.

If you're game, have it ready to go either the day the series starts or the day before since there's a off-day on Monday 29th.
