Mets sign Eric Wagaman, who has the potential to be one of the Mets of all-time. 

He's not bad, but such a non-entity that I can't imagine him doing anything particularly meaningful with the club. No real outstanding skills or anything. But hey, he's played a full MLB season as a starter, so that must mean something.

He's one of those (rare ?)  dudes who has a higher BA in the majors .(250 over 2 years) than he has in the minors (.247 over 9 seasons).

Some power , too.

It will be interesting to see how, and at what position, he will be used.

Waggy hasn't been signed so much as claimed.

If things go somewhat decently — that is to say, if things turn around radically — the Mets won't get much of a chance to see him at any position.  He is hopefully there more for rounding out the minor-league roster.

But yeah, he's on the 40 for now, and if one of their corner guys gets hurt before Polanco gets healthy, it's Waggy Time.

Oh yeah I forgot about that project. I'll probably still run it here, but no more removal elections, Just regular elections, We'll do one or two at the end of the season.
