What a weird rooting experience for me. I was all out Soto over Judge during this game. 
 

But on Tuesday I’ll be rooting for McLean and USA 100%. 
 

Anyway. Glad Soto made it through the tournament healthy.

Maybe, like, PED suspensions should extend to the WBC.

I mean ... they do, in that, if you are actively suspended from MLB, you are forced to sit out the WBC as well.  But if the WBC is still two or three years out when you get dinged for PEDs, you should be forced to sit it out when it rolls around, even if you've long since served your league suspension.

Just a thought.  A vindictive, vindictive thought.

Baseball is the most popular sport in Nicaragua, but they are not really all that good at baseball. They went 0-4 in the WBC and have produced just 16 major leaguers.

It occurs to me. There’s a first baseman who’s good in the late innings down 2 runs. And he would have been having the time of his life.

Something is wrong with me.  I briefly almost found myself compelled by an impulse to cheer for Bryce Harper.

I had no problem.

I have nothing against Harper personally and also have no problem separating  pre/off-season stuff from regular season. I'll root against him (and  Freddie and Schwarber, and Skenes, etc.) starting next week.
