Upgrades to the Offense

Heading into today, the Mets rank 17th among MLB teams (8th among NL teams) in runs scored. The bullpen upgrades are great, but this is where the most meaningful upgrades will happen.

I’d like to see Brandon Lowe and Ramon Laureano as Mets before the day is over. Thanks, Stearns!

Lowe, might be a better fit. (lefty hitter).

I've seen many stories linking the Mets to Oriole's CF Cedric Mullins, who also bats lefty.

So other than making a utility player/DH out of Baty, McNeil, or Mauricio, I don't see it.

I know some of you like Mullins but I don't see it. Jeff won't have to play CF anyway

The Athletic reported today that the Mets were one of the teams with the most interest in Byron Buxton but were told that he would not waive his no-trade clause and wanted to remain with Minnesota.

Buxton made his MLB debut in 2015. Since that time he has appeared in 100 games of more only twice. Most seasons he appears in 85-95 games. He would have been a huge improvement in CF, at least when he could actually suit up.
