Johnny Lunchbucket Old-Timey Member Posted May 25, 2024 Posted May 25, 2024 Mars attacks. Hijinks ensue.
metirish Old-Timey Member Posted May 27, 2024 Posted May 27, 2024 I'll admit I'm not much of a Tim Burton fan, this bombed IIRC , probably didn't help that Independence Day was same year , a movie that took things seriously, while Mars Attacks didn't, big cast , lots of weird stuff. I don't think I would ever watch it again, a five for me
Johnny Lunchbucket Old-Timey Member Posted May 27, 2024 Author Posted May 27, 2024 Yeah this movie sucked. Not only was it celebrities hamming it up (Jim Brown was the best actor in the flick) but there was no Big Lesson in it either.
Batty31 Old-Timey Member Posted July 2, 2024 Posted July 2, 2024 Huge Tim Burton fan. Loved it and mainly because of the brilliant Sylvia Sidney. 8 from me!
smg58 Old-Timey Member Posted July 2, 2024 Posted July 2, 2024 Completely stupid and idiotic and I laughed all the way through it.
metsmarathon Old-Timey Member Posted July 4, 2024 Posted July 4, 2024 **** it. I’ll give it an 8 as well. Ack ack!
nymr83 Old-Timey Member Posted July 6, 2024 Posted July 6, 2024 I don't think I'd ever watch it again, but it was totally fine for it's time. 6.
Lefty Specialist Old-Timey Member Posted August 5, 2024 Posted August 5, 2024 Oh my. The absolute pinnacle of Tom Jones' acting career. A deliberately silly movie and I loved it.I've been afraid to listen to Slim Whitman ever since, though.
