Cowtipper Old-Timey Member Posted yesterday at 04:42 PM Posted yesterday at 04:42 PM Great choice, Mr. President. Much like you, Clemens is an innocent victim of a corrupt system and much like you, when it all plays out, he'll finally and rightfully go down as one of the best in history. Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted yesterday at 04:56 PM Posted yesterday at 04:56 PM What freedom is being honored here, I wonder? - freedom to take drugs? - freedom to blame drug shipments to your house on your wife? - freedom to throw bat shards? Centerfield 1

Edgy MD Site Manager Posted yesterday at 11:27 PM Author Posted yesterday at 11:27 PM There is virtually nothing the president claims or suggests there that is true. The commissioner has not kept Roger Clemens out of The Hall of Fame. Roger Clemens' peer players have not kept him out of The Hall of Fame. Roger Clemens is not the MLB career leader in hit batsmen. He is not particularly close to being the career leader in hit batsmen. He is 15th all time in career hit batsmen. Hitting batsmen does not keep a player out of the Hall of Fame. Seven of the 14 pitchers in front of Clemens in that category are in the Hall. Hitting batsmen — and the president implies that Clemens did so with intent — is not something to be celebrated, but a regrettable and dangerous part of the game that is to be generally avoided and lamented. The Presidential Medal of Freedom is not the equivalent of The Congressional Medal of Honor. It never has been, and its status has plummeted fast since this president first entered office.
Centerfield Old-Timey Member Posted 22 hours ago Posted 22 hours ago Clemens being buddies with Trump is the least surprising thing in the world. Every once in a while you see someone cozying up with him and you get disappointed. But most of the time it’s like yeah. That tracks. MFS62 1
MFS62 Old-Timey Member Posted 10 hours ago Posted 10 hours ago There is no such thing as the Congressional Medal of Honor. It is the Medal of Honor . I would expect the commander in chief of the armed forces to know that. So would anyone who ever served. later whippoorwill 1
whippoorwill Old-Timey Member Posted 3 hours ago Posted 3 hours ago One day at work several years ago I was gathering up spam faxes to throw out and one claimed the owner of our business had received the Congressional Medal of Honor and he should Call This Number To Claim It! Edgy MD and MFS62 1 1
