Edgy MD Site Manager Posted September 19 Posted September 19 It may be Carlos Beltran's night (or late afternoon), but it's good game to wear on all your Ronny Mauricio stuff. metirish Old-Timey Member Posted September 19 Posted September 19 On the pre-game Todd gives us his top five defensive Mets players 5 - Alfonzo 4 - Wright 3 - Beltran 2 - Ordonez 1 - Keith Hernandez

Grote and Harrelson and Flynn all gave you high-end defense and not much more than a single bat among them. MFS62 1
metirish Old-Timey Member Posted September 19 Posted September 19 The Cohen's get some boos when introduced by Howie on the field for the Bentran HOF ceremony
metirish Old-Timey Member Posted September 19 Posted September 19 Carlos walks out from Center field , it all seems a bit hollow to me
metirish Old-Timey Member Posted September 19 Posted September 19 I'm surprised that only Reyes, Jose Valentin and Endy Chavez are the only former teammates on the field
kcmets Old-Timey Member Posted September 19 Posted September 19 Great Met! A lotta people didn't get it at the time and I guess a lot still don't. Centerfield and MFS62 2
Fman99 Old-Timey Member Posted September 19 Posted September 19 Nice speech there. I always loved to watch Beltran play. A great player and his prime spent wearing our colors
kcmets Old-Timey Member Posted September 19 Posted September 19 Mauricimet with the wheels... ....what planet are umps on these days?
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted September 19 Posted September 19 Skott pulled after 79 pitches. Crazeballs.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted September 19 Posted September 19 Francisco Alvarez is not here for your lost hope.
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted September 19 Posted September 19 That partially makes up for his two (additional) atrocious ABS challenges today.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted September 19 Posted September 19 Did Brooks Raley get a scoreboard montage tribute?
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted September 19 Posted September 19 Brooks doesn't seem to have anything to fool anybody. All season long for the Mets, folks were chasing that sweeper of his, but the Mets are just picking it up and watching it miss the plate.
Johnny Lunchbucket Old-Timey Member Posted September 19 Posted September 19 We should call up John Spikerman

Edgy MD Site Manager Posted September 19 Posted September 19 Lindor almost stealing Beltran's Puerto Rican thunder there.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted September 19 Posted September 19 Cionel breaking Schwarber's bat is no small feat.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted September 19 Posted September 19 Not sure Keith has spoken in three innings. Not since the hot dogs went up to the booth.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted September 19 Posted September 19 I have to admit that I love watching Arraez hit.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted September 19 Posted September 19 And somehow the Mets get out of it anyhow. They probably should have a bigger lead. They certainly could use it.
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted September 19 Posted September 19 Line of the game. Gary: The Mets have been out of [ABS] challenges since June.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted September 19 Posted September 19 Alvarez taking strike three there was a head-scratcher. He stopped chasing the slider away but it left him taking fastballs that he can't distinguish from a slider.
