We have some solid Stock (Robert) going for us while the Marlins will be throwing Junk (Janson) out there.

Junk is a righty [6 - 9, 4.00 / 1.28] whom we faced at CitiField back on 7/31 where he held us to 1 unearned run on 3 hits over 5 innings. Final score was Marlins 5 - Mets 2 in what was Senga's last start. It dropped him to an 0 - 8 record and puffed his ERA up to 8.66. Fortunately his ERA is 2.03 since.

Good news:  yesterday's starter was handed a 7 - 0 lead and went five perfect

Bad news:  'high leverage' relievers were needed to cover four full innings and throw a combined 63 pitches

I just noticed the Mets are finally out of last place in the division. When did that happen? They only have to go 14-3 the rest of the way to be a .500 team. Crazier things have happened! 

Their Elimination Number is 6. That's plenty of buffer.
