Maybe the Mets are continuing to use him there to showcase him for an offseason deal or something, but exposing his arm is not improving his value.

Acoonie's legs sure ain't what they used to be, but there's nothing wrong with his arm, and Young blows the chance to start something by foolishly testing it.

Meanwhile, HP ump Andy Fletcher is one of a group (of five or six I believe) who have already accepted MLB's offer of a buy out and will retire at the end of this season. With his B/S efficiency tonight (0-5 on challenges so far) it looks like he's getting an early start.

How was Thornton?  Kinda seems like he was lucky to escape with only 3 ER.

Home run and a hard-hit double in the same inning and he looked absolutely cooked. But he sacked up pretty well and gave the Mets a chance to win. It was a good outing.
