A Met team — that may be a lot different at the end of the day than the beginning — takes on the Miami Marlins as they send Robert Stock to the mound to fight for Gotham glory.

And holy shit!  Did I just type "Robert Stock"?!

Won't recognize half this team here on out. Why don't I trust Stearns to give us a competitive team next year? Why would it change now.😡

I don't mind Robert Stack starting so much, it's the guys behind him that worry me.

Well, Robert Stock aside, today's announced lineup should be pretty recognizable.

I haven’t been paying as much attention as I should. Who’s spot is Stock taking?

Pintaro (demotion) and Herget (DFA) have been removed from the roster, with Stock being added and Bryce Conley called up from AA.

As for a spot in the rotation, he's probably not really taking anybody's spot so much as buying Manaea and Scott back an extra day of rest after starting in the double-header on Wednesday.  I suspect Manaea may end up pitching in this game anyhow.

About what I would expect. Decent

Overall agree but in hindsight I think we'd rather have what we spent getting Paralta than what we got for him, but that's hindsight.

Bad hold by Tim Leiper again.  If he got down the line, he could have had Robert make the turn.

If the ball goes into second, Robert scores.  If the throw comes home, Young jogs into second.

2nd and 3rd/no outs, Alcantara out of the game.

Mets have an outside shot at scoring a run here. Not on the first AB mind you, but before the inning is out.

If you were a 3rd base coach you'd set MLB records for getting guys thrown out on the base paths.

The throw was behind the runner.

And even if Robert kept running he'd have been about 10 ft past 3B when the ball arrived at 2nd. The defense then either ignores Young and throws home (Robert out by 45 ft) or tags Young and then throws home.  With no one out at the time that would have been the boneheaded move of the week, maybe the month.

The odds were against them the whole time.

No, that isn't what would happen.

Five straight outs w/RiSP with only one ball leaving the infield (short CF).

And now six straight. 0-for-11 overall.
