ashie62 Old-Timey Member Posted July 28 Posted July 28 I hope the day off does not damper the Mets bats
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted July 29 Posted July 29 It certainly threatens to mess with our (2 game) winning streak momentum.

Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted July 29 Posted July 29 In a tribute to the late Gilbert Gottfried, AJ Smith-Shawver is from the land of the three-named pitchers. And Sean Reid-Foley was there, and Van Lingle Mungo ...
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted July 29 Posted July 29 Fly balls are carrying surprisingly deep today. Somebody is going to pop one out. AJ Ewing still doesn't seem to get that he's a big-league centerfielder, and he sometimes plays too deferentially, not coming as hard when somebody else is running for the ball.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted July 29 Posted July 29 Is this Steve Gelbs report about what great, professional dude/teammate Tyrone Taylor is actually a plant by Mets management trying to pump up his value?
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted July 29 Posted July 29 Here's the big opportunity. Two on for Alvarez, and he can even plate a run with a GiDP.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted July 29 Posted July 29 The Braves threw Connor Thomas to the wolves on Monday in order to save their bullpen for a Tuesday that never happened. Also, I feel like I'm posting with my imaginary friend.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted July 29 Posted July 29 On the back of his uniform, Dylan Dodd's last name looks like "OOOO."
MFS62 Old-Timey Member Posted July 29 Posted July 29 Now that Chipper (Ptui!) has retired and FFF is no longer there, Olson is quickly rising to the top of the list of Braves I really dislike. Later
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted July 29 Posted July 29 3 minutes ago, Edgy MD said: Two-run dubble for Bengé! Actually it was a one RBI double. Lindor held at 3rd. Both Bichette and Benge got on top of pitches from 0000 that were several inches north of the zone. Both hit 'em hard but Benge's got further towards the corner.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted July 29 Posted July 29 Twenty twenty-four/twenty twenty-five Met Danny Young, remember who your real friends are! Remember who your real fans are!
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted July 29 Posted July 29 Just now, Frayed Knot said: Actually it was a one RBI double. Not cool! That ball rolled for a while!
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted July 29 Posted July 29 Gosh, Polanky may be playing his way out of the league right now.
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted July 29 Posted July 29 It also got out there in a hurry. My first instinct was 'two runs' also, but I couldn't see where Lindor was when the ball was being fetched off the wall.
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted July 29 Posted July 29 Now here's a situation which might call for the unofficial 'no two innings' rule for relievers. Maybe they'd rather use weaver for two innings now rather than have Brazoban, Weaver, AND Williams all pitch in Game one which likely makes all NOT available for the nightcap. oe: ... and as I type this Williams in warning up in the pen, so ignore everything I said above
