THOUGHTS ON THE GAME!

Upside: 

• Terrific effort by Thornton. 
• Team playing cleaner.
• Young looked like a guy.
• They got a new manager.
• Lindor looked more ready to be out there than he looked in his first game.  

Downside:

• Mauricio doesn't look ready to be out there at all.  Kind of looks like Michael Jordan at the plate.
• New manager shares his predecessor's tendency to pull a starter when he's cruising.
• Bottom of the lineup giving nothing.  Baty chasing everything and looking bad doing it.
• The world seems to be catching up with Benge and Ewing on both offense and defense.
• They lost their seventh game in a row.

Getting picked off twice doesn't help matters much. When you total six baserunners, don't give 1/3 of them back. OK, Ewing wasn't actually erased in one of them, but that's more luck than skill.

 

 

And I believe all 'Thoughts on the Game' references need to be followed by at least four exclamation points. It's part of the bylaws or something.
