Edgy MD Site Manager Posted June 27 Posted June 27 Damn, going to Brazzy here was such a Mendoza move, Andy.
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted June 27 Posted June 27 Gotta like Ewing challenging the call and then immediately start removing his guards and stuff. Edgy MD 1
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted June 27 Posted June 27 Despite this game having some degree of better vibes to it than most recent games, it still seems destined to end in much the same way.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted June 27 Posted June 27 Will Lindor find his hit skills? That's a big question if the Mets are going to play any good ball this year.

Johnny Lunchbucket Old-Timey Member Posted June 27 Posted June 27 Andy Green: replay's worst nightmare
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted June 27 Posted June 27 Gotta place Lindor at second. No way he gets third.
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted June 27 Posted June 27 Not only was that fair by 8 or more inches, but I think it ticked Harper's glove as well.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted June 27 Posted June 27 THOUGHTS ON THE GAME! Upside: Terrific effort by Thornton. Team playing cleaner. Young looked like a guy. They got a new manager. Lindor looked more ready to be out there than he looked in his first game. Downside: Mauricio doesn't look ready to be out there at all. Kind of looks like Michael Jordan at the plate. New manager shares his predecessor's tendency to pull a starter when he's cruising. Bottom of the lineup giving nothing. Baty chasing everything and looking bad doing it. The world seems to be catching up with Benge and Ewing on both offense and defense. They lost their seventh game in a row.
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted June 27 Posted June 27 Getting picked off twice doesn't help matters much. When you total six baserunners, don't give 1/3 of them back. OK, Ewing wasn't actually erased in one of them, but that's more luck than skill. And I believe all 'Thoughts on the Game' references need to be followed by at least four exclamation points. It's part of the bylaws or something.
