Centerfield Old-Timey Member Posted 15 hours ago Posted 15 hours ago Five games under .500 is our high water mark since the losing streak. We hit that May 18 when we won the extra inning game in Washington. Since then the closest we’ve come is 7 games. We sit 7 games under today. This will be our 7 chance to get back to 6 games under (we lost the prior 6). Today we face the second best pitcher in MLB. And he throws with his left hand. The good news is, since his scoreless streak ended, he’s given up 1 run, then 2 runs, then 4 runs. So he’s clearly on the decline. Need Freddy to step up today. Brandon Glick 1
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted 14 hours ago Posted 14 hours ago It'll also be a charm if Vientos and/or Alvarez could bring one or both of their best today.
seawolf17 Old-Timey Member Posted 14 hours ago Posted 14 hours ago I'm just saying that I slid Peralta out of my fantasy starting lineup today. I'm not cahnfident on this one.
Centerfield Old-Timey Member Posted 13 hours ago Posted 13 hours ago If we’re looking for positives, the Phillies offense hasn’t been much better than the Mets (27th in MLB) and worse than the Mets in May and June. Maybe we’re 0-0 going into the late innings and the bullpens decide it.
ashie62 Old-Timey Member Posted 4 hours ago Author Posted 4 hours ago Eric Wagaman might be able to get to Sanchez lefty and all Gametime LGM
Centerfield Old-Timey Member Posted 4 hours ago Posted 4 hours ago If they win tonight, it can be the one that turns the season around.
Centerfield Old-Timey Member Posted 4 hours ago Posted 4 hours ago Or it could be just another loss. I hate the Peralta is always behind. Hate even more that Smoltz knows it.
Radar Old-Timey Member Posted 4 hours ago Posted 4 hours ago Mandy has to talk to these guys about stupid challenges. Game after game this team chla!Kennewick early innings and not critical situations.
ashie62 Old-Timey Member Posted 4 hours ago Author Posted 4 hours ago Vientos looks like he's at a slumber party
ashie62 Old-Timey Member Posted 4 hours ago Author Posted 4 hours ago They won't have many opportunities like this one tonight And down the tubes it goes

It's a season and a half since 2024 I've had enough of Baty also Good bad or indifferent they're going to need these two schmoos to be productive to get into the mix Maybe Ryan Clifford might be ready but 3B Jacob Riemer needs more work Radar 1
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted 4 hours ago Posted 4 hours ago Remember fans, the replay reviews will only be used to overturn obviously incorrect calls and the process will be quick. That one, like a lot of others, was neither. It was another one of what I call 51% calls, the type they swore would never happen and it took, what, like three minutes, or 50% longer than a between innings break. 'We can't tell for sure but we think it's more likely he didn't catch it than did so we're going to overturn it'. ashie62 1
Centerfield Old-Timey Member Posted 4 hours ago Posted 4 hours ago How is a ball hit that high not caught.

It's a slippery slope, you want things to be correct but still human. Obviously humans are often incorrect. Centerfield Old-Timey Member Posted 4 hours ago Posted 4 hours ago Plays not made. That foul ball has to be caught. That relay has to be turned. Please stop with the Semien defense bullshit.

Centerfield Old-Timey Member Posted 4 hours ago Posted 4 hours ago I’ll give it the top of the 3rd. If they don’t show life I’m likely out for the night.

ashie62 Old-Timey Member Posted 3 hours ago Author Posted 3 hours ago Mets have had no shortage of baserunners Let's see what Freddy has in him here A scoreless inning one would hope

ashie62 Old-Timey Member Posted 3 hours ago Author Posted 3 hours ago I understand Soto was faking a catch but couldn't he have had a decent chance of actually catching it? Pete Alonso has to be laughing his ass off while now putting up Alonso like numbers What a horribly constructed team this is
